Salmon cakes.. should you not find crab for crab cakes

I iive in Montreal and finding crab is sometimes difficult.

I just got back from a vacation in New Jersey with my mind set on crab cakes and I found nickcutie's recipe referenced above,

Not being able to find crab, I substituted the crab for chopped up fresh salmon in the above recipe. Yes sir, it worked fabulously!

With the oven at 420 degrees (instead of 400 degrees), cooking the patties for 12 minutes on the 1st side and 8 minutes on the other side, these cames out really great! Served them on a green salad.

Most certainly worth a try!
