Confused can anyone clear this up?

On the one hand, cardio doesn't build muscle. Resistance does. On the other hand, running and biking are somewhat resistance because you are pushing weight around. Won't build big muscles, but will build some.
Experience from a formerly very obese person: If your body has enough resources to draw from, you can build muscle at a calorie deficit. Up to a point. Once you lose significantly and have built a certain amount of muscle, there are going to be limits I think to how much and how far your body is willing to draw down those fat reserves.0 -
