Polar FT4. It's simple and works perfect. And it's fairly cheap, $60- $80.

I use a Polar FT7 WearLink watch and chest strap set. It keeps track of time and calories burned. You can set it to your specific weight, height, age, etc. and it will let you know your target heart rate for maximum workout effect. I don't know how much it cost since I got it as a gift, but since my sister upgraded to a $300 one she calls her "**** Tracy Watch" with fancy GPS and distance tracking and everything else - I think the one I have is the basic model. Works great for me. 8 )

I have the FT7 as well. I wish I got mine as a gift, but I paid $110 for it, plus a 20 dollar replacement plan in case it quits working on me. Well worth the investment since some of MFP's calculations for certain activities are quite far off for me. I love it. Save a little longer and you can buy what i think is called the 'flolink' for it in order to upload the info to your computer and get even more awesome info/options.
