I have a terrible massage addiction.

    A) it helps alleviate my chronic migraines
    B) relieves muscle tension from workout overkill
    C) it's relaxing
    D) it's a total splurge. they know me by name, i wait in this comfy room designed for maximum relaxation, then i strip down and lie down nearly naked on a WARM massage table and get completely pampered by a guy with no interest in anything other than making me happy so he gets a decent tip from me. it's the one hour every week that i go completely off-grid. no phone calls, no texts, no emails, no demands, just awesomeness.

there's other ways also, but this is becoming a prime choice.

Doing the ironing and watching Midsomer Murders. Guaranteed to ease away stress from even the most awful day.

The only downside comes when there's no ironing left and it's too hot to knit!

My only me time is when I'm working out. Everything else involves my family in one way or another and I'm so ok with that.

    Great topic! :drinker:

    Hmmm...I have a few different options -

Catching up on my soaps at night while eating something super yummy...
Reading a fantastic book while curled up on the couch - bonus points if it is storming...
Cranking up the music and singing (and sometimes dancing) my heart out - one of my favorite choices!

I am soooo going to suggest that to my hubby. Maybe make a game out of it. Play some mortal kombat and whoever dies has to do squats or something!! That is great!! Thank you!!

My me time is soaking in a bubble bath with a good book. That's how I relax when the kids are still running around like nuts. But I do get a little me time every night since I'm an insomniac. I love to watch the late night storms we have been getting lately. Or just cruise Facebook and MFP. My phone gets a huge workout at night. Lol. If I am having real trouble sleeping I turn on my Stormaker app and listen to fake thunderstorms. It works wonders.
