I actually like spiders and even have a spider tattoo BUT that creeped even me out. Just the thought.

Showin my age here: anyone remember the old Night Gallery television series? How about the episode where an earwigh craweled into the guy's ear & brain? At the end they said the bug was gone (not sure if it crawled out or was extracted somehow) but they finish the episode by saying:

IT WAS FEMALE............... AND IT LAID EGGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

    My thoughts EXACTLY!

    lol.
  • So yeah, that's gross, no doubt. But I live in the woods, and I have spiders in my house all the time - I don't even bother with them. And I just like sleep way too much to ever give it up.

Plus, spiders are really cool. That little guy must have lost his way - how weird that they didn't try to identify what type it was. That just seems lazy and shoddy.

We've seen a handful of brown recluses in our house since we moved in.

    Ain't no thing

Apparently with the drought we've been having, it's making spiders mate like crazy. There was a guy in Omaha, NE who's apartment was overrun with them. I would flip the F out.

I'd actually rather the recluses than the scorpions in the last place we lived in....

At least my cats (STFU, yes I have cats) surrounded those and would corral them (but not "handle" them).

I like spiders, but yeah, I'd go to war if that happened. In general, I don't kill spiders themselves, but if I find an egg sack someplace (mostly the garage) it goes outside immediately.

big mistake clicking on this thread......especially because I have arachnaphobia... and because of brown recluse bite. I'm going to wrap myself in a bubble now.

I must say that your cats are awesome!! Corraling scorpions has to be quite challenging for the little purring beasts. Mine kill all bugs that enter the house except wasps. They've learned to leave those alone.

Ugh....I read this earlier. If I knew there was a spider in my ear I would flip the F out! I mean like jumping around, screaming, pissing down my leg. FLIP out!!
