Those tests are known to do that so please take a couple of other brands of test...the blue dye ones are said to be less reliable0

I'm a certified lab tech. The line will not turn blue unless there is beta-HCG in the urine. However, the more concentrated the urine the stronger the color change will be. Whenever I ran pregnancy tests in the ER (different positive indicator, same methodology, I called the slightest color change a positive.
That being said, historically, the incidence of false positives with home kits has been slightly higher than visual indicator kits used in clinical laboratories. Nevertheless, they still have a good track record. This would be a definite positive in my book.0 -
Hey Dad-of-3, I'm also a Med lab tech! Yay!0

That is what happened to me when I was pregnant with my daughter, so in my experience, yes. Good Luck!0

It's a negative. Just thought you all should know what to look out for if it happens to you or someone you know. I did some research about blue dye tests and they are notorious for giving false positives, which is what happened to me. Thank you all for your responses!0

I would get a pink-dye test just to make sure.0

oops Sorry, I just saw you posted that. It is very, very true. I'm also TTC (been trying for a year since a miscarriage last year and it took 2 years the first time), so I understand the disappointment.0 -

A blue dye test are common for false positive... Wait a couple of days and test again with first morning urine, but use a first responce or answer test.. Pink dye will not run like blue dyes do.. Good luck!0

Hi, I was just wondering was it a positive? I just had this happen to me with the same exact test.0
-
Mine always did the same thing... they were very weak, even looked negative at first, but about 15 min later there was a VERY faint line. I would say you are pregnant.0

I am a certified lab tech. Any positivity is a positive test, and it is faint due to low levels beta-HCG. So, it a appears you are a "little bit" pregnant. ????0

That would be unusual, but can happen. Best wishes your way.0
