I listen to everything except Jazz so my ipod is set to shuffle and if it's a slow song, i just switch to an upbeat one, but here's some of my workout songs:

    Breaking Benjamin - Breakdown
Almost anything from A Day To Remember...particularly "All I Want" , "Downfall of Us" & "All signs point to Lauderdale"
Dev - In the dark & Bass Down Low
    Disturbed - Ten Thousand Fists
Anything from DJ Sammy & anything from Tiesto
Gym Class Heros - Cookie Jar & Cupid's Chokehold
Hot Chelle Rae - I like it like that
    Jessie J - Domino
Katy Perry - Last Friday Night
    Kayne West - Workout plan
    LMFAO - Shots
    Skillet - Monster
    Aqua -Dr Jones

...Just to name ...a few (=

i love running to music! it's just like dancing!!!

if you don't have an iphone but you do have an MP3 player, then this will work 100%. it kinda changed my life.

    here is my secret weapon.
    http://www.mixmeister.com/bpmanalyzer/bpmanalyzer.asp
you don't need an iphone or an app. it's a free program you install on your desktop.

i use this program to get the Beats Per Minute of all my music on my computer
    then i run only to songs that are 160 - 180 BPM (80 - 90 bpm).
    it's VERY motivating.
i choose 160-180 bpm because 180 is the ideal turnover rate for feet while running, so i've read. it promotes good form and thus less injury. but it's still a little fast for me so i err on the slower side of the goal.

    i hope this helps you!

also, i end every race with this song:
    Riot Rhythm - Sleigh Bells

Oldies music: The Beetles, The Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, Bobby Darin, Diana Ross, Dion, etc.

Great beats, very uplifting, and if I start singing out loud, I'm not going to say anything that'll offend the moms with little kids (I run around a local park, which is also right next to an elementary school). I even spent one evening to create 3 separate playlists for slow, medium, and fast runs :)

I'm not a runner (yet) and I can't see where you are in the world, but I've seen this CD being advertised and the tracks seem to be pretty damn good in my opinion: Now That's What I Call Running (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=Now+That's+What+I+Call+Running&x=0&y=0)

there's some super good songs on there. Going to have to see if that cd is available here in the States and/or just compile the songs individually. I have a good many of them already.

I generally play songs that have an upbeat tempo, artists like Pitbull, Black Eyed Peas, etc

80's music was the best :glasses:
Thanks for the responses guys!!! I was kinda looking more for songs I could download, but that okay, I just glad people answered! :)

80s Workout Music on Pandora is always a fun switch up if I'm doing treadmill (WiFi). If I'm out on a run, I need downloads. No smartphone yet. The teens in my house keep some pretty decent stuff and they have good taste.

I usually love Toby Mac. He's my go-to guy. I'll post some favs of his below. Love "Diverse City"! I have a whole running playlist created off his stuff. I also love David Crowder Band.

iTunes playlist based on bpm is a good way to find stuff of good tempo. I went through and created a playlist for "running".

Also, you can often find other people's "running" playlists on iTunes, listen to a sample, and download if you like it.

I also love the "Genius" iTunes had for a while (is it still available?) on my iPod. You can pick one song on your playlist you are in the mood for, and it will generate a whole list based on similarity of style, tempo, and rhythms. If I find one I like, I save it.

    Here's some from mine...

How He Loves -David Crowder Band
    More Beautiful You Jonny Diaz
Find Your Wings Mark Harris (good for parents)
    Dancing Generation Matt Redman
    Finally Home- MercyMe
