    Hello Blues!!

j_g4ever - I don't have cheat days either. Maybe a cheat meal but I try to make up for it with more exercise.

smadag1 - great idea to use your lunch break for some extra exercise!! I'm sure the break from work will be nice too.

almomay - wow master's in computer science! I bet you are ready for a break!! I finish my master's in telecommunication Jan 2009. I don't miss the school work at all!

My husband and I are off work today for the federal holiday. I am taking advantage of the extra hours with a 2 class gym day. I did a spin class this morning and a step aerobics class this evening. And did some shopping in between

    Keep up the good work!

I want to walk to get some lunch and go to the bank but I have limited options. I am thinking of going to Sonic and getting a salad or wrap, then walking for the rest of mu lunch hour. I will not be able to work out tonight because hubby has to go to bed early to go back to work so I will try to think of something

This may come too late - but the banks are all closed today - right?? -- maybe you meant the atm... in any case, gives you more time to walk!!

    Good morning everyone.
I also don't have cheat days. I don't believe in them.

Cheat meals yes. I might have a cheat meal every week
These (cheat meals to me) are still somewhat healthy.
Chicken sandwich on whole wheat with Sweet/hot peppers from deli.
    or a Chicken Roti.

    BEAT THIS or THAT!!!

Something I was thinking to maybe help in some motivation/competition.
Let me know what you think.

Every day or throughout the day, Someone states what they did, exercise, drank water, and then someone has to beat it.

    Example
Yesterday I drank 64oz of water, and did a walk/jog for 30 mins for 380 calories.
    Someone comes on today:
I've drank 80 oz of water
    or
    I burned 500 calories etc.
    Beat THIS or THAT!!

I am so glad you reminded me that the banks are closed. I will walk to Sonic to get lunch (my closest somewhat healthy option) then walk for the rest of my hour

Today I'll run 5 miles, Sunday will probably have to be a rest day since this Saturday is Super Saturday at my fitness center - they do every class throughout the day...my plan is to do at least 4 hours of classes - if I am really ambitious, I'll do cycling for the first ever time at 7:30am then

    3:15 pm ~ Step

    4:20 pm ~ Power (strength)

    5:30 pm ~ Kick

6:40 pm ~ Zumba (never tried it either)

That should give me a good calorie burn for the day, huh?! Really no breaks in between - do you think I should drink protein water during??

Guess that schedule messes up my marathon training - I'll just repeat this week if I can't work it out to run lunchtime Friday.

I am actually going to wendy's to get some chili (280cals) and MAYBE half a small frie. I think this will hold me over long for fewer cals.

Just finished watching my dvr'd biggest loser while exercising--86 mins and 916 calories. Wahoo!! I didn't think I was working out hard enough for that. I will call it my Wednesday Workout!!:drinker:  :flowerforyou:

Okay tttthumper--I just read your post--I think Chrissy might beat me calorie burning wise, but I would like the rest of you to beat that!!

I think I'm going to change some things up a little bit. I will just MAYBE do a cheap meal but I really want to loose the rest of this weight so I'm going to try not to do it at all. I don't know what I'm going to do for exercise tonight however. I'm going to be babysitting for a baby and I haven't had a baby in almost 7 years. plus, they live in a motel right now so there isn't a lot of room. What the heck am I going to do?? Any ideas?? There are no stairs in the motel. SO many questions today he he

I had physio before work today and a poker tournament afterwards. So I won't have alot of time.

Dam this will be a nice little challenge. I will try to beat 916 calories of working out tonight.

I'm at 40oz of water so far today. Beat that! I know you all can do it.

You can also just play with the kid. I lift mine up above my head as many times as I can--he loves it and it is a great workout. Pushups, jumping jacks--walking in place all burn cals in a small amount of space. Be creative and just keep moving, you will break a sweat in no time.

Yesterday my workout was cleaning, I did jumping jacks and squats while sweeping and puting things away. It works!!

I am loving all the motivation we have this week Blues!!!

tttthumper - I love your mini challenge too! I don't know for sure how many cals I burned with my two cardio workouts today but I bet it wasn't 912!! Amazing debnu1!! My educated estimate is 772 cals burned today.

smadag1 - good job cutting your meal in half and saving for later. Way to be proactive! No vending machine for you today!!!

j_g4ever - I don't have any kids, but I have seen other people write about how they danced with kids. Turn on some tunes and jam out!! Bet the kid will LOVE it... I would

I just made a homemade pizza for dinner.... veggies, low fat cheese, turkey pepperoni. I didn't know turkey pepperoni was SOOO much better than regular peppersoni.... 40 cals for 17 slices!!

thank you for the ideas. Its weird watching a baby again. I did get some ab work in while he was in the walker and not crying. he tends to cry a lot. right now he is sleeping so I should get some more done. I'm going to run again tomorrow. Im so exxcited. I found a treadmill for $50 however haven't heard a response yet. damn. I'm hoping i can get it.

Great job everyone on working out. :drinker:

Alright I'm so proud of myself. I did some ab workout and then did some jumping jacks with the oldest kid as a game along with some push ups and squat jumps. We both had fun. :drinker:

smadag1 - you just gave me some motivation!! I am going to a play this evening with some friends therefore, I don't have time to visit the gym. I just figured it could be a night off. But I hadn't thought about doing the 30 day shred. I can definitely fit in the 20 mins for level 1... maybe level 2 if I'm lucky. Thanks for the idea!

j_g4ever - glad to hear you got in some exercise while babysitting yesterday. Good job!

So 30 day shred DVD tonight, Spin class tomorrow, Boxing class on Saturday.... if I declare it here, I will more likely do it

Keep on moving blues! Watch the cals! We'll have no problem with our first Biggest Loser weigh in on Monday. :drinker:

    Glad I could motivate someone.
I wanted to step on the scale today , but I am so scared that it will not show a loss. I am very frustrated that it has not moved in months. I am hoping walking on my lunch hour will be the kick it needs to get moving again

BEAT THIS....(ttthumper challenge from previous post)...I ran 5.25 miles on the treadmill, burned 650 calories yesterday.

today was going to be a rest day but I think I'll hit the elliptical tonight, need as many workouts before Monday's weigh in as I can to offset last weekend at the beach:laugh:

....my son went to the fitness center last night (13 yo) with me and hubby and worked like a little dog - sweatin' and all that - he's excited to go tonight so I'll take him!! He's lost a few pounds and getting taller....looking like a young man not a kid anymore...my baby:sad:

going to repeat week 5 and 6 of my half marathon program - it's been really tough and with my knee like it was last week I'd rather continue on slowly and not have to stop....

smadag-keep working hard and the scale will reward you. Recently you've added different things with exercise, and hopefully have gotten some great ideas for healthier breakfast choices....your on track

taradise-I totally agree when I put something out here or on facebook or my blog I feel accountable to do it. I opened my blog up publically last night....gotten several good responses of people asking for my help.

way to make the most of your time Jess--sounds like fun

I need to see if my hubby or his uncle can fix my elliptical. It makes an awful sqeaking noise when I have been using for a while. This way I can use it while we watch tv an dnot annoy anyone

If you keep using it and annoy them enough, they'll find a way to fix it for you....

I get my tv turned up way high when I am on the treadmill. I wish I had an eliptical for that reason.

Yesterday my daughter's teacher called to say that she has been crying in class--not wanting to watch movies with the class--basically anxious about everything. She suggested going to the school psychologist and so we met with her after school. Things should get better, I hope. I thought that the issues were only in the getting to school--not continuing on through school. I am glad to have help though--I had exhausted my brain trying to figure things out!

I made this chili this week that ended up being higher in calories than I thought. It has made my calorie counting a bit more difficult!! I of course can't waste it. But there is only one serving left...maybe I will go for something else today. I am tired of using up so many calories for lunch!!

I think I am going to do the shred to exercise this morning--I need some sort of weight training. I wonder how many calories I will be able to burn today!?!
