I finally got a Wii and Wii fit and I love it. I even got the Biggest Loser game.
Me and my husband are sore from boxing last night and then I did 30 minutes playing around with the Wii fit plus it was so much fun. The Wii is great fun for the entire family. wish I would have gotten it sooner.

I also have the wii fit and wii but i don't think the bmi is accurate or the weight. I weigh more as I go throughout my workout. I love the boxing one and the hula hoop!! How do you like biggest loser? I got the jillian michaels one0
-
I have Biggest Loser, Wii Fit Plus, and Jillian Michaels 2010. I couldn't do JM the first time I tried it. It was just too intense for me. Love BL & WF+ though0
-
I'm thinking about getting one some time soon. Do you find yourself more inclined to do that than like workout DVDs? I'm having trouble with motivation and I'm wondering if this is something that will be fun enough for me to keep up. Thanks for any input!0

The Wii Fit is not very intense for me i do it for fun mroe than anything. The jillian michaels didn't really give me a hard work out i am used to intense workouts but i believe its a good start for beginners. the games are really fun.0

If you like the boxing, you will love Gold's Gym Cardio Workout, it is 90% boxing and a wide variety of routines. I love my Wii Fit, I lost my first 50 lbs solely using that. I also love My Fitness Coach, though it performs more like a video than a game. I would love to hear more about everyone's experiences with those and Biggest Loser and Jillian Michaels for the Wii.0

I must be a wimp then. My first time using JM 2010, we "ran" for 5 mins, did 100 jumping jacks, 60 twist crunches, butt bicycling... that wasn't even 1/2 the workout and I was DONE. I shut it off, dripping sweat.
Biggest Loser gives a good workout, too. You burn at least 100 calories in 1/2 hr, but it feels like more. WF+ burns off another 150-200 just doing yoga & strength training. I feel like they are really good tools for working out.
I always felt silly working out to DVDs, but for some reason the Wii is a better fit for me. Maybe it's the actual interaction? You feel like you're getting something more out of your "trainers"0 -
Which workout did you do. The first one I did wasn't very hard maybe I need to go to the advanced.??0
-
is it a game I could add to a Wii sport?0
-
jdavis, I set up a profile, then selected to go through one of Jillian's full routines. I haven't played the game in about a week because it was a bit intense for me. I had it set to intermediate, because I figured the game wouldn't be any worse than Biggest Loser on intermediate... I was wrooooooong, lol0

I love the Wii Fit I've had it for awhile and its fun and a workout. I've been wanting to get the new Wii Fit Plus. Anyone tired it?0

Shamm:
I have Wii Fit Plus. Its worth getting even if you already have Wii Fit. It has everything the Wii Fit has, but more. You can link the strength and Yoga poses together in any combination you want to make one long workout with a lot less button pushing. Plus it added a lot of new games to re-invigorate your interest in working out.0 -
I'm glad to see this post! I've been wanting to get both the Biggest Loser and Jillian Michaels 2010 games. It's good to know that they're challenging and fun! I've been using DVDs for quite a few years now... I think it's time to change it up some lol.0

So has anyone lost weight off of the wii fit? or toned up? that was already working out0
-
I went from walking a mile a day to working out on my wii... does that count?
I've lost weight both ways0 -
I have the Wii Fit and Gold's Gym. I wish I hadn't spent the money of Gold's Gym. I don't use it at all. I don't use my Wii Fit for cardio. I just didn't feel like it was intense enough, but I was already exercising before I got the Wii Fit. It might be better for someone who is just beginning. I'm currently doing couch to 5K for cardio. I would like some of the other games, but after buying Gold's Gym and only using it once, I'll be trying the others through DH's gamefly account before I actually buy anything.
I do really like using the Fit for strength training and yoga. I love the fact that it gives you feed back on how your body is holding each pose or working the exercise. I don't think you could get the same effect from anywhere else. I'm really interested in the Wii Fit Plus and the Wii Yoga (not released yet). My only complaint about the regular Fit is that your can't set up a routine, both games have fixed that problem. I think I'll end up buying one of them, just not sure which yet.0 -

How do you set it to intermediate and on I tried looking for it all I see is JM 1 JM 2 and then ab upper and lower body on exercise.?0 -
jdavis, I will look into it today for you. I don't think Bob has a workout planned for me on Wii BL today. I think I'm feeling brave enough to try Jillian again.0
-
Ok thank you I know you can do it!!! Just remember if you need a break take a break adn move on. Don't Quit. Even if you don't fulfill everything move on to the next thing. Then you will get better. Good luck.0

jdavis, just started up my Jillian Michaels 2010, here is how you get the workout I was telling you about:
For new users:
After the game starts up, set up your profile as directed. After setup, it will take you to Island Hub. Select Workout Area. Select Resolutions (choose whether you would like to set up with tutorial on or off). Select Jillian's Pre-Made. Choose your Resolution. I chose Ultimate 6. Enjoy getting your butt kicked!
For existing users:
After the game starts up, select your profile. Calibrate your Wii board, then go to Workout Area. Select Resolutions. In order to get the kick butt workout, you need to have selected Jillian's Pre-Made prior to starting.
Off to get my butt kicked (and going to stick with it this time). I hoped that helped you, jdavis0 -
Thank You!!!0

Does anyone happen to know how to change the difficulity level you chose when setting up My Fitness coach? I set it too hard and nearly died the first time I used it, and haven't gone back for a few days because it was too hard. I was thinking of just deleting my profile and making another one, but if I can figure out how to just change it I'd rather.
Thanks guys!! :bigsmile:0 -
Sorry I can't answer your question, jb_sweet, buuuuut
Here's what I did in Jillian's Pre-Made workout today...
"Ran" 5 mins
90 Jumping Jacks ('m very uncoordinated, so I just trotted in place some more, and did the arm lifts in time)
21 Hip Twists
50 Butt Bicycling thingies (which I still can't figure out how to do correctly, she was yelling at me the whole time)
20 Sledge Hammers
60 Oblique Twist Crunches (which I also struggle with doing correctly)
60 MORE Jumping Jacks
60 Crunches (Please tell me we're almost done!)
15 Push Ups (must touch chest to Wii board, and completely SUCKS if you're a chick! Ouch, my poor girls)
10 Boat Poses (which is really just the jackknife exercise)
1 Lunge Stretch (Honestly, why couldn't we have done that FIRST? It was a great warm up stretch!)
20 MORE Push Ups
40 MORE Oblique Twisty Crunch Thingies (Okay, CAN WE BE DONE NOW?!)
20 Squat Jacks
*Collapses and DIES... at least until tomorrow's workout*
If that's not good enough of a workout for you, then you really are used to a hard workout. That was really strenuous for me!
EDIT: Didn't feel like doing Yoga on Wii today, so I just relaxed & did Rhythm Kung Fu and Rhythm Boxing for 1/2 hour. Burned 150 cals.0 -
I get carsick real easy and hated the Wii games because that's how they ALL made me feel, so I've been reluctant to try the Wii for physical fitness. Does anyone out there get dizzy using their Wii for exercise or do you think it is something I should try?0

I have Wii fit plus. Its alot of fun I'm not going to rely on it for all my workouts but tonight I didn't feel like going to the gym so I came home and did my Wii Fit Plus for an hour and 15 minutes.
In order to make it harder and unlock things you can't half *kitten* it you have to get high scores thats the point of the game to unlock other activities so you have to push yourself and I am a competitive person so it makes it fun for me besides having fun I am burning calories.
I wore my hrm while doing it tonight and I burned 505 ( I don't stop working out until I atleast burn 500 calories) Mind you I also got side tracked and played some of the balance options so my Heart Rate dropped but it was fun0 -
I wimped out of my Wii Biggest Loser workout today, and did Wii Fit Plus instead. Did you know that Rhythm Boxing on Expert burns, like, 90 calories? So guess what I did for an hour. I love the Boxing! I torched through 400+ calories in 45 mins or so. It was great! For a break in between, I did Rhythm Step and Rhythm Kung Fu. Gotta love the Wii!0
-
I have the BL game too. I have been bad on not getting on it but mabye i will tonight. I did the 1st 4 week challenge. I use Jillian as my trainer. Some of it can't do , i modify it to do the best i can.0
-
I haven't tried the Biggest Loser one yet i have it and set it up but haven't tried it. I like the Wii fit because its a workout and a game in one and I like to get high scores.
My husband and I played the games together on Wii Sports and he said if they had this 10 years ago American's wouldn't have become so obese- I completely agreed with him. Me, Him, and our 8 year old daughter spent an entire afternoon playing tennis, bowling, baseball, and boxing all of us were quite sore the next morning hahaha but went right back at it the next day. Great family fun. We don't sit down either..0 -
So after you do the resolutions do you just go to workouts and it will do a new one for you or do you have to go to resolutions for the 6 month thing.?0
-
Sorry I can't really answer you there, jdavis. I set it to 6 mos, so I don't know. You do the resolution, and it takes you through the workout after you select attempt. It should do it for you every time like that. I haven't played it since the other day. It's just really intense for me, but I'll take a look at it tomorrow to see if I can figure it out for you.0

I use the step aerobics on my Wii Fit and I love the advanced step, but I hate that it's only 5 minutes. Does anyone know if the Wii Fit Plus has more step aerobics? Hubby bought my an extender for my step, so it's right around 6 inches now. I usually do that 20 minutes or so per day, but the free step for that amount of time gets boring. I'm really hoping to find a better step game!0
