  • Quit smoking.. It'll all get better.

This. I am quittin now. I was TERRIFIED to try and quit after 12 years. It was who I was. I didn't even know for sure that I wanted to when I decided to try. I am using the patches and I would rather use patches every day than smoke again. It's not as hard as they say it is. It does suck sometimes. And some days I'll take a puff. I found out it was never as satisfying as I wanted it to be. I still like smoking. But I don't have to. I realized I could lose 100 lbs, eat perfectly clean, exercise, lift, take vitamins, etc etc etc. But I would never be able to be who I want to be if I was still a smoker. Two weeks in and I was able to swim underwater longer and stopped getting winded. I am 2 months in now and don't want to go back. Smoking sucked more than quitting has.

That's just my story, and if you don't want to quit, don't. You'll figure out ways around it until you have to. Most of all, congratulations on trying to improve your health. I hope your efforts take you a place where you're ready to make that decision. Feel free to look me up if you need support!
