I stock up on the halloween decorations when they go on sale Nov 1st. When else can you get endless fashion accessories and black roses, crosses, sculls and gargoyles for close to nothing?

And I was beginning to think I was the only one who did that! I get so excited when Halloween decorations start coming into the stores, I am certifiably insane in that sense! And I love to use these things in odd and unexpected ways for every day decorating, my husband has completely given up on having anything normal around me:devil:0 -
i listen to lots of different music when im on my elliptical, mostly heavy rock and the like, really get me going! lol
anything from rammestein, evanescence, sunna, linkin park, seether, staind :flowerforyou:
i dont call myself any particular name, but much love to all you guys and good luck with your weight loss! :flowerforyou:0 -
My fave place for decorations is actually Goodwill...lots of lace, silver candle sticks, ect. I even got my absinthe glasses there.

Just wondering how everyone is doing? Hope you all have a great weekend!0

I've been feeling like crap the last few days. I didn't go to the gym and just sat around in my pyjamas all day and finished reading Running With Scissors...
Hopefully I'll feel better tommorrow.

You feeling any better?
After decorating our tree yesterday we just sat around drinking hot cocoa and watching Howl's Moving Castle .0 -
I'm feeling much better! Thanks for asking!
Our poor Christmas Tree keeps being demolished by our cats. I keep finding ornaments and bows in different rooms of the house. And the tree topper has been toppled a few hundred times. lol.
Yay, Christmas. :-)0 -
Glad to hear you're feeling better.
We have three doggies and this year I decided to do our tree in the Victorian style. Everything is handmade (except the lights of course). We have a popcorn garland (so far no one has tried to eat it, lol). I'm waiting to come home to strands of thread all around the house, here's hoping that my hubby has been able to deter them from eating what they shouldn't, lol.0 -
I've lost two more pounds!!! YEAH!
Anyone here watch Paranormal State, Ghost Hunters or other shows like that? I'm just addicted to them all.
Hope everyone is having a good day!

I have friends that are in GRASP. You've possibly heard of Chris Bower (he works with TAPS) he's a member of GRASP and is one of my good friends. Here's one of their old youttube videos. Chris is possiblly leaving the team though.

That's AWESOME! Though I haven't seen him in many episodes. Any particular reason why he's leaving?0

He just got married a few months ago and he wants to settle down a bit.0 -
Where did everyone go?0

AHHHH!
I've been having a horrendous week and haven't been logging much at all. Only made it to the gym maybe twice last week. Doesn't help that there's snotty trainers that work at my gym. I had one come up to me and tell me to stop 'clanking' the weights and that I'd get better results if I didn't. I could of ripped her head off right there, but I just smiled and said thanks, and continued to 'clank' my weights on the sitting bench press machine. What a *****.
Anywho, how's everyone doing?0 -
I'm a little stressed this week...way too much stuff to do.
I don't go to the gym (gave up my membership earlier this year...just can't afford it right now. I've been doing dvds and lots of hiking and running with my dogs.
BTW, I couldn't help clanking the weights...trainers can just be down right nasty sometimes...mine was pretty great though.
Hope things get better! :flowerforyou:0 -
i haven't been on this website in a while!
How was everyone's Holiday celebrations!? any plans for new years? I've been neglecting my workouts and eating all this good holiday food..and now i feel like a cow.. MOO!
LOL0 -
I didn't log my cals at all over Christmas nor did I do any work outs either...and I do not feel guilty at all. It's my one time of year that I splurge and besides it's my mothers cooking. Way too good to resist all the goodies that only get made once a year...and I'm not going to miss out.
New Years...as always will be spent sitting on the couch with my hubby and daughter watching the ball/peach drop (I'm in GA) and drinking. :bigsmile:0 -
Wierd as you,,, well. I'm,,, kind'a different, and I support anybody's efforts to get better. So go on with y'er bad self.0

Freakin' cold is how I'm doing. Why does winter happen? Why? Wah.0

I love winter...not the cold...but the clothes. All the lovely dark colors...navy, hunter, plum, sliver, and of course black....which I stock up on now because in a few months it's all pastels....which are not bad...but wash me out and I look sallow.
I despise summer. Unless I slather on spf 80 I burn horribly. Granted I put on 45 daily...but the beach is not my friend, lol.
What's the temp up near you? It's currently 29* here...Georgia doesn't usually get this cold until late February.0 -
I'm right on the Ohio River, which is the border of Ohio and West Virginia. This ain't Minnesota, but it gets chilly here. Temp this morning was 18^F.
I have a real love/hate thing with winter.
I love to walk my dogs in the completely utterly still silence that we only get in winter. We go walk along the river and I nip at my flask of whiskey and they play doggy games and there's time to think. Nice,,,
I also love to "chill out". Explain: this morning I was up reasonably early and did 30 minutes on my elliptical machine. When I finished up I was pouring sweat. Dressed in sweatpants and sneaks - no shirt, I got the puppys up and we went outside into the 18^ chill. It was still, no breeze,,, and I could see the steam pouring off of my body. Amazing feeling - you can't even feel the chill at first. Then it comes on, but it's not unpleasant. The cold can be a friend for a little while, and I enjoy the little while.
On the hate side. Well, I'm a cycle nut. Bi-cycle and Motor-cycle. Don't get much of either one from about Xmas thru March 1. The cold isn't that big a problem, I can dress for the cold. It's the darkness and snow and slush that makes it unsafe to ride. Waiting waiting,,, :yawn:0 -

I understand about the snow and slush....we are expected to get ahout 4 inches (yes inches) and that will probably shut down the schools and make for horrid road conditions. Yep...gotta love Georgia...it's practically a miracle when there are snow flurries, lol.0 -
Yep,,, and when you do get it the world stops turning.
The city has no snowplows, most folks don't know how to drive in it, some people are scared when they shouldn't be - some people are not scared and they should be,,, snow in the southland is interesting.0 -
Snow = Ew.
I can't ride my bike or do much of anything in winter.
Mind you, I love wearing the dark clothes and fleece pullovers and love watching the snow fall while I'm indoors. I just don't like being in the middle of it. And living in Nova Scotia doesn't help much either. We get the worst winters and blistering summers. I decided to skip sunscreen on a trip to the beach one day and I ended up with first degree burns. I looked like a lobster covered in boils for a good month.
