Fitness Bucket List for Women

Hello and congratulations on your weight loss thus far. I am working on losing some weight too. Where are you located please?
...So I can attempt to sell you Body By Vi?0 -
I'd have to lose quite a bit of weight before I could squat/deadlift anywhere near my weight. Well when I weighed 220, I did deadlift more than my weight but not 1.5 my weight0
-
- Wide-grip pull-ups
- Do a split (I'm already pretty flexible, shouldn't take much work)
- Look toned and be happy with what I see in the mirror
- ooo, I like that one -- Hand-stand push-ups, I might be able to do these already, I'll check later.
I have been doing handstands against a wall all day but it is hard!0 -
100 push ups consecutively....hopefully...someday...probably in the distant future...0
-
Run a 5K. if I can accomplishment that and I enjoy it, then I might try for longer distances.0
-
Women should also add:
Squat body weight
Deadlift 1.5x body weight
Done and Done.... I can do both!
1. Pull-up, they are ELUSIVE to me!
2. Run a half marathon0 -
Land an axel
Squat my bodyweight0 -
Hit a softball over a 300 foot fence during practice.
Hit a softball over a 300 foot fence during a game.
Hit a softball over a deeper fence.
Repeat.
NO WAY! THIS IS MINE EXACTLY!!!!! Haha. Be my friend!
Oh, and also...
1. Do a friggin' unassisted pull-up!
2. Do "real" push-ups, not the girlie kind
3. Run a 5K
4. And as stated...hit a friggin' homerun alread! Geesh!0 -
I wanna read this later....bumpity bump bump0
-
Run a mile without stopping
Increase my free weights to at least 20 pounds each (currently at 8 and ready to move uo to 10)
Be able to feel comfortable showing a teeny bit of skin0 -
Not attained:
1. The pull up also is a bit beyond my reach. I trained really hard and *almost* got there one year but I never quite made it. Stupid pull up.
2. A straddle-split. I can split frontwards but my muscles don't like to stretch the other way.
3. To be able to grasp my hands behind my back during a tricep stretch on BOTH sides. Now I can only do one and I feel lopsided.
Attained:
1. hiking into and out of the crater on Haleakala- 4 miles and 3000 feet of elevation change
2. 300 consecutive jumping jacks
3. Plank for 60 seconds
4. Tree for 60 seconds
***I have no desire to run a marathon- my knees are not up to it. I can do 5 push ups (like real-life boy pushups) and I think that makes me pretty badass***0 -
1. Ten unassisted pull-ups. (currently able to do 2)
2. Run a half-marathon
3. Do more push-ups. I can only do about 35 before my arms give out.0 -
Women should also add:
Squat body weight
Deadlift 1.5x body weight
On my bucket list I have
Do one full pull up
Deadlift 185 pounds
Bench 100 pounds
Do a sprint triathlon0 -
Hmmm.....
I've done most of the things people have listed, (except Q's Axel and the softball stuff)
MUSCLE UPS!!!
double body weight squat and deadlift.0 -
Women should also add:
Squat body weight
Deadlift 1.5x body weight
Done (185 BS) and Very Close to done (245 DL)
10 Pull Ups
1 Muscle Ups
5 handstand push ups0 -
Yeah. I don't run.0
-
1) Do a pullup (preferably multiple but I'd be happy to do 1)
ME TOO!! LOL0 -
I think all women should be judged by their snatches.0
-
I'm not so sure about that bucket list. I can do the plank and yoga poses, working on pushups but I never plan to do a half marathon. I did to a 10k though so at least I'm close
Personally I don't have specific goals, just to look sexy in a bikini for my future honeymoon (which was postponed) and to stay looking good for my husband and myself of course.0 -
1. run a marathon
2. hike a 14er
3. squat my weight (140)
4. dead lift my weight( 210)
5. 10 pull ups
6. 20 pushups
..ummmmm......0 -
run 1.5 miles in under 12:30
40 push ups in a minute
45 crunches in a minute
Once I can do that continuously, I'm ready to go back into the AF Reserves0 -
I think all women should be judged by their snatches.
YES!
Wait, no.0 -
Recently MSN printed an article on the 4 Fitness Goals that every woman should try to reach :
1. Hold a plank pose for 60 seconds
2. Run a half-marathon
3. Pull off 10 push-ups
4. Hold the yoga tree pose for 60 seconds
Previously, my fitness goals included wanting to learn how to swim, completing a 5K and running a 10 minute mile.....but nothing really beyond that. However, after reading the article, I realize that I should really challenge myself to set longer term fitness goals...but I gotta start somewhere, right? lol~
So ladies.........what's on YOUR fitness bucket list????
Btw, here is the link to the article: http://innovationforendurance.msn.com/articles/detail/fitness/253236719
1. Check
2. Check, doing my second in about a week
3. Check
4. Check, on either leg
Guess I'm done. :laugh:0 -
Compete in a triathlon. I just learned how to ride a bike 3 weeks ago (at age 40), so I still have a ways to go.0
-
I can do all of the three mentioned -- ran a half marathon a few years ago. I actually held a plank for 7 minutes. It was a contest and I won. :smokin:
My Fitness Bucket List:
Bench what I weigh right now (120. My 1 rep max is 90 as of this week)
Do 10 unassisted pull ups (used to be able to bang off 7. Then I stopped doing them)
Do 3 unassisted 1-arm pull ups
Finish the Litchfield Hills Road Race -- which is a brutal 7.1 mile race -- in 50 minutes (or less)0 -
1 - Run a 6 minute mile.
2 - Squat 1.5x bodyweight.
3 - Deadlift 300 lbs.
4 - Bench press bodyweight.
5 - Do a frickin' pullup already.0 -
I think all women should be judged by their snatches.
YES!
Wait, no.
1. Bench 150lbs
2. DL x2 my bodyweight
3. Squat my bodyweight or more
4. Build 15in. biceps
5. Incorporate ballet cross training cuz it makes me feel pretty0 -
I would def like to be able to squat my bodyweight or more!0
-
Mine:
Multiple unassisted pullups
Kipping pullups
Climb a rope (in pants and boots... I can do it in shorts and sneakers, just not the other way... weird, I know)
Get under a 7 min mile (I'd be happy with 6:59 honestly, I just want to see that 6!)
Complete a Tough Mudder race
Max a PT test
Swim a mile (possibly could do this now... I get bored in the pool tho...)0 -
I saw that article too. I wasn't too keen on the fact that they made the items so..........attainable. Bucket list? Isn't that supposed to be like lifetime achievement level stuff?
I also wasn't too fond of the fact that the men's list had several lifting benchmarks to hit, but the women's list did not.
I did jump up off my couch and test to see if I could hold tree pose for a minute. I can!
Plank- not yet....but I will get there. Ditto with pullups.
Half-meh. Not interested.0
