I would go, have a great time and when we got home I would make sure to thank you0
-
Lol yea totally depends on the seats but I would probably fake it and go.0

If your wife called you and said she was given NFL preseason tickets for tonights game ( your favorite team) would you or would you not be happy and say that you would love to go... BTW parking pass included...
Well, not mine. He said he would rather sit at home and watch it on TV.
Hahahaha hilarious0 -
Have you ever tried to have a pizza delivered to a stadium? It freaking sucks!!0
-
I'd go even if it was pre-season as (1) this is late in pre-season so more of the starters are playing and (2) it's my favorite team.
I can understand not going, but he should at least thank you for being so thoughtful.0 -
HELL YEAH I WISH MY GIRL GOT IT FOR ME!!! Check his tempture, something's not right!
. (I'm using her account to read some forums to troll)0 -
all depends on th e seats but sometimes you see more sitting at home maybe he wanted to spend a nice night withyou watching the game0
-
 I would at least take the tickets, thank you and then drive to the bar to watch the game with the rest of the guys......that way i score the brownie points for caring and being appreciative, and I get a night out of the house with the boys.
It must be relatively early on in your marriage and he hasn't made it to that chapter of the handbook yet??? :ohwell:  :bigsmile:0 -
I wouldn't want to go with my wife. But that's because she doesn't like sports and there was that whole adultery thing. Your husband may have other reasons. Have you asked him?
WTH?0 -

The key part is the word "preseason". Not worth the effort to go since it means absolutely nothing. However, if my wife felt like she scored something I'd like and was excited to present it to me, I'd pretend that I was excited even if I wasn't.0 -
I think that calls for him being stripped of him man card and court marshaled... in other news, I'll go! :drinker:
Agreed.0 -
Get him two tickets to the ballet next week. Maybe he'll man up0
-
real men go to regular season games.0
-
granted im not a big fan of football games live but the gesture alone i would go...0

I would also prefer to stay home. In general, I think people suck. So I avoid crowds, especially drunk crowds, whenever possible.0 -
um ...duh..of course you go to the game .0
-
my husband said preseason tickets are nothing special and he'd probably not wanna go either.0
-
I can see the rationale both ways, but yeah, if you got the tickets he should appreciate the gesture in some way--either by going or showing you he was appreciative.0
-
are the seat comfortable to sleep in? Because football tends to bore me. I have gotten scolded for falling asleep during the super bowl by my friends.0
-
i'd be there in a heartbeat..but I have a big question as to when this marriage happened0

agree0 -
Yeah. .....no. He should be at the game....and be buying you flowers.0
-
I give away my preseason tickets because it's pointless to go. Even my kids know it isn't the real thing.0
-
Pre-season, not so much. The games don't count towards anything and the best players don't want to risk getting injured before the season starts. So you see the unknowns, or you see your favorites doing 80% effort.
For quality of the game, high school or college is much more exciting.0 -
Show some appreciation and go to the game!!!0
-
Like only men are going to answer...
Preseason doesn't count. At all. Whatsoever. Do not care. He would feel the same way. Why spend the gas and deal with the frustration of getting downtown, then WILDLY overpay for beer and a snack.. When I can sit out the couch in my underwear?
WELL considering that I'm a woman and I'm asking men how they would react to their WIFE doing this.... I'm not really reading any responses from women, but thanks for playing...:yawn:0 -

We've been married 6 years but have been together 10.0 -
I'd probably go. But I've only seem my favorite team play once. I don't live in the same town.0
-
So many factors...a friend of mine once invited me to go watch his team play...it was in Phoenix for a pre-season game. Two and a half hour drive...I appreciated the gesture, but in all honesty, I would rather have stayed home...done some grilling and some drinking and would have been much more comfortable.
I've also done NBA pre-season...same answer.0
