I just started crossfit several weeks ago.
Recently there was a Groupon for 2 months worth of crossfit, and my friends talked me into buying it.
I completed the on ramp program and am currently in my 2nd month of training.
I have already signed up for another 14 months .
It is a big investment, but one that is worth it in the long run, I believe.
I feel very comfortable with the trainers at this box.
Over the last 6 or so weeks I have come to love working out, which has never ever been the case.
I still have trouble understanding the crossfit lingo, and I am in no way capable of doing most of the moves or WODs, but I am working hard on getting to that point

You go girl... to be able to crossfit at home and stay motivated... is great!

WOW! Our gym charges $25 a week. The community alone is worth that. I guess there are good and bad boxes. We're lucky we have awesome people at ours.

I ♥ CrossFit! I'm at the the box 5 to 6 times a week. I've gone from back squatting 55# to setting a gym recorded 235# in a month's time. I JUST HATE BURPEES!!!

I used to Crossfit but I think I agree with a lot of the criticism. I think there are better ways to train and the methods are prone to injury. I mean I will say I didn't think it was always bad, I loved the first 8 months of it but certain methods I didn't agree with and started to bother me towards the end.

I cherry pic WODs here and there. The gym is too much $ near me, all though I would almost go just for the olympic lifts instructor thats there every week. Most of the stuff I can do at home. There is definitely some great workouts there.

Did you mean 100 DU for a warm up? Thats some serious roping

No lift should be performed under a time limit

No lift that your are not proficient in should be done in a WOD or done using "heavy" weight.

    No gym should cost $100+

    Pull ups should be strict.

Periodization and planning is actually a good thing.

No advanced lifts should be taught to people who haven't mastered the big 3 first.

    Just my 2¢
