    I'd jump to the future, given the chance to switch time periods. Maybe the 25th century or so. Sure, it'd be a risk (maybe civilization will have been obliterated or something), but technology has improved life significantly, and I suspect it will only continue to improve it (at least for a while). I can't imagine living without in-door plumbing, air conditioning, internet access (which also lends access to libraries of books, encyclopedic information, general communication, etc.), etc.

    I would have liked to have graduated college in the 1995-1999 time frame when the economy was bustling.
