Yay busymom, you're halfway there!! And Mamakat, a loss is a loss and yours was big even though u went up last week, so celebrate it!!

I did C25k W4D1 today. I decided to start the program but I can already run a mile without stopping so I thought I would skip ahead. It was great; it seemed like whenever I was getting a little tired I would have a nice little break. Really tried to focus on my breathing because I get really bad side stitches :grumble: It worked though and I finished the workout strong. Yay!! Can't wait to run a 5k at the end of the program! It seems like the program really builds you up in a great way. Not too hard, not too easy. Whenever you guys decide to start that you will not regret it! It does kind of suck doing it on the treadmill, but I wanted to go ahead and start; I'm jealous of my friend who is almost done with the program now!

Slow and steady wins the race

I haven't been able to weigh myself on my regular scale because I haven't had any heat in my apt since Thursday and I've been staying at my boyfriend's. He doesn't have a digital scale and it's driving me crazy! So because of that I don't have an official weigh in yet because I like to keep to the same scale, however while i was home yesterday getting some clothes and stuff for today I jumped on the scale and it said 187.5 in the middle of the day!!!! I'm trying not to get too excited because it could have just been a fluke but that would mean i'm down 1.5 lbs this week! As you can tell by all the exclamation points I'm not doing too well with staying calm about this :blushing:

Anyway, I'll officiallly weigh in tomorrow assuming the new furnace goes in today and I get to stay at my house tonight.

I hope they get the furnace fixed soon... It is quite chilly
I'm sure your weigh-in will be great!!! :drinker:

  • Since I wasn't at my normal scale yesterday I had to wait to weigh in today. I'm up 1/2 from yesterday but 1 lb was really my goal so I'll go with today's weight.

    LW: 189
    CW: 188

Only 14 lbs until my goal weight!!!

Good work with all the losses this week! Keep it up!

Hi friends ... I'm actually taking a quick break here at work ... It's still way too busy but I'm going to burn out if I don't watch it. So I went to the Doctor's last week because I was sooo sleepy all the time, and I'm always cold (especially my hands and feet), and my joints hurt, and my skin was dry, and my nails were splitting (and they're usually so strong), and my hair was thinning a lot (chunks coming out in the shower ... scary stuff). They did some blood tests and it turns out my iron is very low ... thank goodness it's something that can be fixed with diet and supplements. My vitamin D is also pretty low ... I asked for a prescription for a trip to Hawaii since there's so much vitamin D in the sun but they said no to that ... so I'll have to take supplements for that too. I'm so relieved that it isn't something more serious. Hopefully it won't take too long to get things back to normal. I hope all is well with you.

So glad that you got a non-scary report! YOu can get your iron up with supplements and a good balanced diet :) Eat lots of GREEN veggies :) And of course, good old red meat (but watch the cholestrol) :)
    Take care, Maggs!!
