Here is this weeks chart. I was so tempted to leave my weight the same this week-- because of TOM, but I decided I really needed to be accountable and own up to what I am. :blushing: That was the hardest thing to do!! It is just a number anyway. Look out next week because I will be so low I won't believe it!!
Sorry I have let you down this week but it won't happen again!:flowerforyou:

My workout plan is going to change a little because of a sore back, but I will do what I can
I would like some snow too please, but were I live in the deep south the world comes to a hault. with just the thought of snow( I think it is funny being a Yankee and knowing how to handle the snow  ) What is it with southern people and buying bread and milk when it snows what are they making nilk and bread sandwiches :laugh:0 -
Great job everyone!
debnu, good job to you as well! You haven't let anyone down! Keeping ourselves accountable even during our TOM is the only way to get through this. We have to accept responsibility for our actions. Making excuses & giving ourselves a free pass will not result in a long term, lifetime success. You're right on target & next week will be better for you!! You hardley gained even a pound! I call that quite an accomplishment!
Tara, you are kicking butt!! May I ask how tall you are?? Your current weight would be a dream come true for me, as I'm 5'5".
smadag1, be careful with that sore back! You can have snow!! Not something I'm looking forward to at all! LOL! But, maybe if it wasn't an option, I'd miss it too.. maybe... !! LOL!!0 -
Maybe I saw it wrong but... did you post the correct chart in the Biggest Loser challenge?? I looked at the blog and didn't see my lose for this week and I wasn't sure.0
-

Awww... thank you Sanifrey! I am about 5'1"... so on the short side for sure. My goal weight is 115 lbs.
Smadag1 - I really wish the VA/MD snow that occurred last Saturday (my last day in the US) could of made it your way. I had so much planned for that day and it snowed 3 inches... I was sad, but the snow was still pretty.0 -
I have the exact same chart on both--I actually put it up on the challenge first and then make a new board so I don't have to cut and paste as much.
We are really doing great!! I am just upping the ante for myself as I am tired of being a positive number or zero. I like negative numbers much better! Keep up the great work and lets keep it all going!

I miss the snow until I talk to my mom in Illinois and hear how cold it is and how much snow she is getting:bigsmile:0 -
Yeah, team blue. Good job everybody! The important thing is to keep going and to not give up.
A little snow would be nice for christmas!0 -

I read it wrong.... been a long day.
I agree - everyone keep up the great work. We are doing great over the holidays!0 -
We are doing great over the holidays!
Yes!!!! We are all doing so well over the holidays. I cannot count the years I went on a "diet," came to the holidays and completely lost it. This year ... I'm losing it in a different way.0 -
Hello everyone I live in MN need I say more right now. OMG SNOW. It sounds like maybe just maybe I will be able to get my treadmill this week. Here is hoping. We were out of town for a couple of days and staying with relatives its so hard. Man. I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow and then cry. Then I'm going to kick myself in the @$$ and get this party started. I know I have to head to Town and get batteries for my HRM but I will just aim low on how many I have burned.
On a positive note I went to a Savers and I bought 5 pairs of pants for $21 and they were a 16 thats right. They are a little big but not big enough to go down to a 14. I have to go my dog is acting like a toddler right now.0 -
j-g, you can do this! I just jump around in front of the TV sometimes :blushing: It works! you can set a timer and just do all the exercises you can think of in that time. It helps to have the HRM for that but definitely isn't necessary! It is so awesome that you are in 16s! I love buying new pairs of pants in smaller sizes. There is something very exciting about it.
I don't know about the rest of you but I am a little tired of not being the top team. :explode: Visualize this has some really big losers--Lets challenge ourselves this week. Lets all see a loss! I am stepping it up a notch so please join me. (I even made cookies last night and only ate one. I never only eat one!) We also can have big results! I think we all know how--lets exercise and eat our vegies and go at this with a vengence. Maybe I am selfish but I want to be the top team next week!!! :flowerforyou:0 -
My goal is to lose 36 lbs by my 36th birthday (which is April 6).
Tomorrow is my shopping day, so time to fill my empty cupboards and fridge/freezer. I've been getting some really good recipes from this site and can't wait to try them. :bigsmile:0 -
Jason - that's a great goal
smadag-how's the back
leigh-you rock, keep it up
taradise-I was thinking like Sanifrey-I am 5'5" also - my original (current) goal is 149 but I am mentally targeting like 140-145 range....would love to think that the MOST I will weigh with fluctuations would be under 150 - so we'll see....I've come to far to not let myself accomplish what I started and the last 10 pounds are abolsutely killer to come off --- slowly but surely....it may take me til shtterbugs birthday to get there but I am ok with that as long as I proceed in that direction.
No run today - too busy at work to go out for lunch, will run Friday and Sunday instead...see my schedule has changed but I like to keep my basic plan in mind0 -
I just wanted to say that I am loving this new challenge!! This Monday morning weigh in is really making me behave over the weekends! Is anyone else noticing this as well?? I think that it was a great change to my system!
I had a wonderful step aerobics class today - I burned 450 calories!! We do about 45 minutes of cardio & then 15 of toning & ab work! I'm going to feel the inner thigh work that we did today!! I'm hoping to go to zumba tonight, but I'm not sure if my hubby will be home in time! We'll see!
Have a great day team!!

I expect the last 10 to be the worst as well... I've never weighted my goal weight at all during my adult life. Last time I was 115 was the beginning of my freshman year of high school. But it's been a dream to get to 115... and for me that is a perfectly healthy weight to be.
We can do it!! We will get those last few pesky pounds off!! Stay strong, stay motivated. For me, its about not ever giving up!0 -
Taradise you are right.......NEVER GIVE UP because if you do, you're letting YOURSELF down!0
-
OK, you all are definitely motivating me. I had walked 30 minutes earlier today, and I just made myself do a 30 minute exercise video before I could say hi to you. SO - - - Howdy, y'all! GO BLUE!0
-
Our water froze today, and I don't know what my husband did over his lunch hour but it just came back on. Praise God! I have to get ready to go though, because my angel daughter invited me over for dinner since I didn't have water.
Stay warm, and stay motivated! Here's to smart choices!0 -
Mornin all
SOrry I was not here yesterday hubby and I had a great day off together yesterday according to the Dr scale I have lost 13 lbs since last time I saw her in January.
Chrissy My back is feeling better but I am still trying to take it easy so it doesn't flare up again. My hubby commented yesterday that he can see some diffrence in my shape since I started using our ab ciecle pro. For him to notice and say something really makes me feel good.
I am thinking about redoing my final goal, I am 5'8 ish if I stand up straight so I think I might change it from 140 to maybe 145-150 that might be a better goal for someone as tall as I am. Any opinions ?0 -
Hi all! I am in need of lots of help. Went to the dermatologist to have a mole removed--they had to cut it out. No exercise for a whole month!! I can do upper body and probably ab work but the treadmill and other vigorous leg work is out. :brokenheart: I feel as though the wind has been completely taken out of my sails! I had a little pitty party last night for myself, but I am still determined to lose this week and for the rest of the month. Any advice?? I need all the help I can get right now. Thanks in advance.
BTW I am also 5'5"--According to doctor Oz a medium sized female should weigh at or under 150. That is really my goal. So smadag1 I think an appropriate goal would be 150 and then you can reevaluate. It really is all about how you feel and look not the number on the scale. Muscle changes everything and you don't want to look sick!!0 -
I KNOW YOUR RIGHT IT IS ALL ABOUT HOW YOU FEEL NOT THE SCALE
i CHANGED MY GOAL TO 145 TO SEE IF IT WILL HELP JUMP START MY LOSS AGAIN, i WILL JUST WEIGHT AND SEE AS I GET CLOSE TO 1550 -

Been there. The last time I had lost weight I ran into a problem. I had lost 40 pounds and then got hit with a case of shingles.
I was in bed for 2 weeks, I gained 5 pounds. That was the start of my year long battle with gaining it back. So, now I am back to
square one and determined as ever to kick my fat *kitten* into gear!!! :bigsmile:0 -
debnu1 - so sorry to hear about the doctor's orders for no exercise. You will really have to focus on your diet. Are you able to take walks?0
-
debnu1- Maybe you could do arm exercises and Ab. P90x has different dvds for different body parts. There are also walking dvds available, if you can do that.
I would also focus really well on my diet, and try different things with the amount of carbs, veggies, and fruits. I know some people who do low carb, low fat, and limit their calories to 1200 to lose weight.0 -
How is everyone today? Once again, I made myself do an exercise video before telling you hello. I am determined to stay motivated! I have done 3 of the 5 day challenge - we'll see if it shows on the scale come Monday.
Debnu, on the video site that I have been using, there are some videos that are just upper body workouts if that helps you any.

In the 30-Day Shred, Jillian says that punches are a great way to get the heart rate up, especially if you have a lower body injury. So, maybe that's something you can do. And, it would be a great thing to do during commercial breaks to get your heart rate up in intervals. :flowerforyou: Jillian does it standing, feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent... and it definitely gets your bum burning, too! :blushing:
Keep an extra eye on your eating, don't feel bad over a few short weeks compared to the rest of your life!:flowerforyou:
And definitely keep coming on here!! Reading about being fit and healthy will help you keep your focus on your goals and not on pity-party snacking - well, unless it's on carrots or apples or grapes or something otherwise good for you!0 -
Debnu-hang in there I am sure the doc has good reason why you need to take it easy...everyone's had some great suggestions for alternate things you could do - just remember anything is better than nothing!0

Thanks for all the support everyone. I got really overwhelmed when the one thing that I could rely on (exercise) was taken away from me. I did some punches a little while ago and it sure does get your heart rate up. I think I will try and do that a little longer everyday along with some weights and abs. I need to work on my upper body and abs anyway. As far as food goes I am sure I have some demons I need to tend with to get there but I am going to work on my eating habits. I always have figured I could just temper it with exercise, now I don't have a choice.
Any foods or great ideas to keep within your calories?0 -

Maybe this seeming setback can actually be used as an opportunity to wrestle some of those demons and learn better control of your eating habits. Keep up the good attitude, and I am sure it will work out for you!0 -

I agree with was msh0530 said. :flowerforyou:
As for foods or ideas ... this is something I do - I prep my meals/snacks on Sunday and have the same thing each day all week. I know that gets boring to some people, but for me routine is key. Other than that, keep everything portioned out, eat every few hours and don't keep anything tempting in the house.
And drink, drink, drink! :drinker:0
