Banana is my breakfast on my way to work. Fresh fruit and veggie market is on my way. If you ever find yourself in Zagreb, Croatia at 7am and see a girl eating a banana, listening to music and dancing while walking, don't be shy say hi to me
On topic: They do wonders for me.0 -
I like bananas, but they aren't my favorite fruit. They have a good deal of Potassium in them, so they are very beneficial to your body. I went for months without eating bananas before, and started having fainting/dizzy spells. The doctor ran tests and found out that my Potassium levels were low. He told me to start eating more of them, and when I did, my spells went POOF!!! :P I make sure to eat them almost every day now. They do make great smoothies!0

Don't eat it if you don't like it!! There are probably a couple of fruits you do like, so eat those. I HATE bananas, and would NEVER force myself to eat one. I would gag. but I love avocados and potatoes, both of which have more potassium than a banana. And I like a few other fruits, so I eat those instead. When I'm on a calorie restricted healthy eating lifestyle, it is critical that I like everything that goes in my mouth.
(I would, however, freeze a sliced banana and whip it up with strawberries in a smoothies if I had one hanging around the house and I had room in my calories for the day.)0 -
Delicious and nutritious! Taste just like...well..umm...a banana! Everything can't taste like chicken.
Love me some banana in my smoothie. Yum Yum Or on it's own. Or in cereal. Or in yogurt. Or in...well, you get the picture.0 -
I like bananas but have heard conflicting info, do you have a link to a credible source that discusses the negative over the positives of the fruit. I'd appreciate the info.0

If you don't like it, why eat it?
I like to slice them up and freeze them though for a delicious snack or dessert ^^0 -

What does FIFY mean?? LOL
Also, thanks for your replies... I mean I can stomach them, just!!! The kids love them and so does hubby so I guess we will have them in the house - I think they will still remain the bottom of my 'go to" list of snacks though... haha0 -

Fixed It For You = FIFY
When someone quotes you or someone else and changes the quote to be more "agreeable" to the person replying, they will FIFY.0 -
Totally terrible and dangerous for the body.
Especially the fibers, pectin, potassium, iron, calcium and magnesium it contains.
Vitamine C, B1, B2, and B6 that bananas have is also something you would definitely watch.
:drinker:
