Raisin Bran. Works like a charm for me.

Also, Truvia. I know that sounds strange, but if I put a couple of packets in my morning cuppa joe, 20 min later.... well.... you know.

    Good luck!

    Coffee

    Dude.

For me, with coffee, it's damn near immediate.

Ditto ... same goes for my wife. Coffee is like the instant laxative!

Coffee for me too. No more than an hour later and I'm needing to go! lol!

Whole wheat I mill myself. I make and freeze my own bread, Belgian waffles, cinnamon rolls, bagels.

    Saves money too.

For immediate results, I agree with the coffee votes. Also, hot green tea. For long-term regularity, along with adequate fiber, I swear by probiotic supplements. In fact, I started taking them during a weight loss plateau and the plateau ended. I like to imagine a cause-effect relationship there...

    Edited for spelling.

I recommend adding more fiber to your diet if this is a regular occurrence for you. But in the meantime, coffee usually works very well in just a couple of hours. A handful of grapes will usually get things going in about a day. If fresh fruit doesn't work, Wholefoods sells an all natural stool-softener that will work in a day or two without the "urgency" of a laxative.

*just don't make the mistake of taking the softener and eating the grapes in the same day* :embarassed:

This does work! My husband once ate 3 Fiber one muffins before I had a chance to tell him that's what they were....followed by a horrified look on his face....and then a sprint to the bathroom. He always asks now if anything I bake is fiber one. lol

A few ounces of prune juice...horrible, with great results!

I rather like prune juice. ( as well as "dried plums" - a.k.a. "prunes")
