Despite all the plans I had to accomplish my weekend tasks unraveling and me feeling like the TOM is rapidly approaching (cramping, tired, irritable) I can officially announce that day 30 of the challenge (burn at least 500 calories for 30 consecutive days) is COMPLETE. Since I missed my Saturday kickboxing class thank to Jiffy Lube being awfully slow this morning servicing my car I decided to take out some of my old kickboxing dvds and rock it out. 70 minutes later I was done and over 500 calories burned. I am sooooo proud of myself for not giving up on this challenge along time ago BUT it is now over and I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!
  • Thanks Barbie :flowerforyou:

**I have to make a correction to the last post I made. I said I stayed within my calories....well AT THE TIME I WAS. But something happened around 12:30 last night. I had a CRAZY BINGE. I ended up eating about 500 cals worth of junk!!!!! :noway:  I dont know what happened. I havent ate that much junk that in a long time. I had 1 thing then I couldn't stop myself  :embarassed:  I still feel guilty about it. I was doing so good yesterday until then. I should have just went to bed!!! Well I feel a LITTLE better since I confessed, but it doesn't change it. Next time I hope I will be able to control myself!!!

I found a new place to take Zumba classes and am really excited to be taking it again and with a great instructor.

The people on this thread are a great inspiration. Congrats to everyone on their accomplishments. It is so difficult this time of year with all of the activities, festivities and temptations. Keep posting.

I did almost 2 hrs of shoveling today...I am really sore and tired! I feel that I got a good workout despite my gym being closed. But I HATE being stuck in the house. I have EXTREME cabin fever!! I spent a long time shoveling my car out so hopefully I can leave tomorrow. I want to go on my date.

Ok I ran my frst 5K this morning...Yeap ran it. Did not walk at all!!! My goal was to run it in 30 minutes and I did it in 30 min and 50 seconds. All that matters is that it was not 31 minutes. haha. I am so proud of myself!!! I know a year ago I would never have been able to do that. To see the progress that I have made is tremendous...it has taken a lot of hard work and determination. I am so almost to my goal that I am feeling great!!!!!

:flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: This has been a day full of sitting (so I really shouldn't be sitting at the computer:laugh: ) An hour each way in the car and a meeting that lasted all day in between. They served lunch and as I predicted there was really nothing that I would choose to eat. Fortunately we brought our own food so the only thing I had from the lunch was a few slices of apple.

I got on the exercise bike when I got home and will probably do a couple of miles of Leslie Sansone "Walking at Home" so unless I go off the deep end with bedtime snacks, I should be OK with calories.

Right after lunch a woman who had been eating doughnuts all morning came up to me and told me that I shouldn't lose any more weight because I was getting too thin

Thank you all for your encouragement......even with a few minor bumps in the road, we can make it through the holiday food jungle:bigsmile:

I think people don't realize that we have a habit of wanting to eat the right foods, then when the right foods aren't available we eat very little. I think people see that as "Oh, they don't eat food, that's how they lost weight". Some people truely just don't understand. You truely sound like you have been successful.

Today is the Christmas program. I have to bring treats and have my Grapes ready. I know the other teachers are bringing sweets but, really we can't expect our kids to choose a healthy treat if we don't have one available. I Just wish that more people would bring fruit.

It's weigh in day again. I did pretty well, especially considering the mountains of sweets and goodies that I have turned down. A lot of small victories. I am also getting back on track with exercise.

You are so right. Kids learn what they are taught and imitate what they see. Kids love fruit but if all they are given is chips and cookies how can they make right choices.

    FAFS starting weight 118
    Last week 116
    Today's weight 115

Best wishes to all for healthy eating and exercise and making good choices.:drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:
