About a 40 lb difference right there. I'm a little heavier than in the picture on the right--maybe by about 8-9 pounds or so--but I wasn't working out then and I have been working out every single day for over a month and I've been getting great results. My goal is around 132 and toned.

I am 5ft 7 I started at 238Ib I am now down to 217. I would be happy just getting to a size 14, it seems like it is taking me ages to loose the weight but I suppose I am loosing it gradually. I don't have a goal, is that such a bad thing?

I too have a very large frame. It can be frustrating at times. My goal is 145. I have been there before I know I can do it again.

Your goal should be what you want it to be or none at all. You are making progress. Slow and steady wins the race is my motto. I work out very hard 5 days a week and stay under my calories nearly everyday and only lose 1 pound a week. It can be frustrating but one is better than none. Keep doing what your doing and you will see that size 14 before you know it. My guess is that once you get there you will be more motivated to set a new goal. Good luck.

    5'6" 190 to 139, 25 days at 139 so far

took about 5 1/2 months from day 1 of calorie counting, so I lost a bit too fast according to recommendations etc.
I probably had fantastic metabolism brought on my several years of overeating.

The first month I only did calorie counting, 2nd and 3rd month heavy cardio with strength training. 3rd month through today began to switch cardio away from traditional gym machines and just get my tush outside playing sports. I don't get on those machines anymore. The sun is shining, I can go play softball and if it's batting practice the bonus is I work my abs at the same time :)

I lift weights as heavy as I can 3-4 times per week. I alternate my workouts in this order: bicep tricep shoulders back chest and add in legs when they are not sore.

This is my overall progress pic from start to 'finish' although since I will continue to lift, my body will change:

I also want to mention I weighed 133 pounds in 2004 in this bikini pic, before I gained massive amounts of weight:

I think I look better in a bikini now, 6 pounds heavier. I have actually felt that way since I got down to 150 pounds, strange how you don't always have to reach a number you thought was great when looking back on 'what used to be'...

this is me at around 155 pounds, I used to try on this bikini every month because it was too small when I bought it:

measurements are 36-30-38. I'd like to lose another couple inches off both my waist and hips.
    Goal weight is about 145-150.

I'm 5'7" and started at 287 -- currently weight 248-250. Would kill to be somewhere below 200, but not 140. I haven't weighed 140 since I was in 8th grade probably.

On the 8/9 I was 247 and today I am 238! Long way to go. My initial goal is 175 as I am large framed. 161 would take me to the top of the official ideal weight range. I was about 27 last time I weighed around 140 and people used to call me skinny even though that is mid point of the ideal weight range for me. 2 kids and a number of years later the picture is very different
