I am 5ft 7 I started at 238Ib I am now down to 217. I would be happy just getting to a size 14, it seems like it is taking me ages to loose the weight but I suppose I am loosing it gradually. I don't have a goal, is that such a bad thing?
Your goal should be what you want it to be or none at all. You are making progress. Slow and steady wins the race is my motto. I work out very hard 5 days a week and stay under my calories nearly everyday and only lose 1 pound a week. It can be frustrating but one is better than none. Keep doing what your doing and you will see that size 14 before you know it. My guess is that once you get there you will be more motivated to set a new goal. Good luck.0 -

You can see my before and afters at the link above. I'm just shy of 5'8.0 -
5'6" 190 to 139, 25 days at 139 so far
took about 5 1/2 months from day 1 of calorie counting, so I lost a bit too fast according to recommendations etc.
I probably had fantastic metabolism brought on my several years of overeating.
The first month I only did calorie counting, 2nd and 3rd month heavy cardio with strength training. 3rd month through today began to switch cardio away from traditional gym machines and just get my tush outside playing sports. I don't get on those machines anymore. The sun is shining, I can go play softball and if it's batting practice the bonus is I work my abs at the same time
I lift weights as heavy as I can 3-4 times per week. I alternate my workouts in this order: bicep tricep shoulders back chest and add in legs when they are not sore.
This is my overall progress pic from start to 'finish' although since I will continue to lift, my body will change:

I also want to mention I weighed 133 pounds in 2004 in this bikini pic, before I gained massive amounts of weight:

I think I look better in a bikini now, 6 pounds heavier. I have actually felt that way since I got down to 150 pounds, strange how you don't always have to reach a number you thought was great when looking back on 'what used to be'...
this is me at around 155 pounds, I used to try on this bikini every month because it was too small when I bought it:

this was taken in June 2012. About 175.

Goal weight is about 145-150.

Hey - do you live in Toronto? I live in Barrie!0 -
I'm 5'7" and started at 287 -- currently weight 248-250. Would kill to be somewhere below 200, but not 140. I haven't weighed 140 since I was in 8th grade probably.0
-
On the 8/9 I was 247 and today I am 238! Long way to go. My initial goal is 175 as I am large framed. 161 would take me to the top of the official ideal weight range. I was about 27 last time I weighed around 140 and people used to call me skinny even though that is mid point of the ideal weight range for me. 2 kids and a number of years later the picture is very different0

Starting weight around 170, current weight around 135-140...looking to just drop inches now.

Im 5ft 7in and currently weigh 259. My starting weight was 275. Ive been on MFP for 30 days and lost 16lbs. I need to get some current status pics taken to record my journey.
My goal weight is roughly around 170. I can adjust it from there to see where i will look and feel the most comfortable with my body.
My biggest excitement will be getting back into ONE-derland0 -
Excellent thread!!
I am a little under 5'7", 46 years old and started a fitness regime about 6 months ago. I workout 4-5 days a week with a trainer - 30 min of weight training, and 30 min cardio interval training each time. I also try to get out and hike and do hot yoga once or twice a week.
Starting weight was 180, and I am down to 169.4 as of this week. I have been at 169 since July!!! It is time to focus more on the calorie counting and nutrition -- starting NOW. I joined a 6-week weight loss challenge at my gym and I am hoping that will motivate me. My goal is to lose 10 pounds in the next 6 weeks -- about 1.5 to 1.75 pounds per week.
My goal is 135, but I haven't seen that weight since before I had my kids (who are 21, 17, and 12). We shall see. 140 may be more realistic!
Let's keep the motivation coming!!!

Can't post pics cause I don't have a computer and my phone won't let me.... I'm 5'7" as well, I started at 208lbs, 36.5% body fat, measurements were about 48-37-47 and I wore a size 12-14; CW is about 160lbs, 23.7% body fat, measurements are now 38-29-39 and I fit a size 6... I still have a ways to go though, my goal is 135. All I really did was stay under the calories MFP recommended (although I did have a few slipups, which is why it has taken about 5 months), also I started running and doing strength training combined with cardio.0

I'm 5ft 8, starting weight 183 lb, current 171 lb, target 161 lb & see how I feel then
I got down to 154lb a few yrs ago, but wasn't a good look for me, as I'm pear shaped, bottom half looked great, but my top half looked underweight.0 -
Adding all I've read so far with the same goal as me! I'm 5'7" - currently 175ish want to get down to 145-1500

Amazing work ladies!
I'm 5'7", started at 172 in late February 2012, met my initial goal (145) about late July, reset it to 138, and just passed that (I'm 137 now) and losing on maintenance after surgery. Have to increase calories I think.
Have been running daily (except post-surgery) as well as long walks, 1200 calories a day and eating back exercise calories that average 400 a day.
Have to get some photos sorted out soon I guess. Was a 12/14 clothing size, now in loose size 8.0 -
Hi ladies! I'm 20, 5'6 1/2" and joined MFP in 2011. I got serious about this in February 2012 after my fiance of 3 years proposed to me. I am looking forward to being around 150 right now because thats where I was in high school and I loved how i looked, though once I reach my goal I will probably continue into the 140's. My highest known weight is 230.6 and I am currently at 205.6.
Before at 230ish.
a few weeks ago at 213. I am now at 205 but i havent taken any pictures. This is the most recent one I have.

I don't have any pictures but I'm 5'7 and my goal is 130-135.
I weigh 144 right now which is a juniors size 7 with measurements around 37-26-38.0 -
5'7" both are durings. i never took a true before picture but i started at about 255 and didn't take the first pictures until 240.
i never had a specific regime. started about a year ago and just eat under the recommended cals and tried to work out when i could. i do turbo jam on occasion but mostly just walk and swim. i didn't want to make major changes to my lifestyle because i knew i would be more likely to give up.

im unfortunately back up to 165-167 right now but i am on week two of p90x so hoping to get back there soon! although i dont really care all that much about numbers anymore...i just want to gain muscle and lose body fat %0 -
I'm 5'7 and I weigh 133-135 honestly Idk lol but I was at 123 a week after I had my daughter and I stayed that way for a year but then somehow I just gained 10ish pounds. I don't have a goal weight, because I am about to start insanity and I know I'll be gaining some muscle. I really just hate my stomach. That's where all my fat goes! But I will look a lot better if I tone up the rest of my body too, so that's just my goal I have a low thyroid issue but I hope that doesn't prevent me from reaching my goals.
I don't have photos yet but I will eventually!0 -
I'm 5'7 and started out at 260, The dr suggested 170 as a goal weight but I might aim for 160-165
Heaviest here..holding my nephew..
Last week around 200

Still a work in progess. I don't have any other pics of me in a bikini at my highest weight so this one isn't exactly the before but close enough. When I started I was aout 157 lbs. Now I'm probably somewhere around 135, was at 132 I don't know because I don't weigh myself anymore.

Me now in my profile pic.0 -
I'm 5'9 and I started at 234... 3yrs of online school added 40lbs to my life. Since I started in July, I have lost 7lbs. My goal is to be about 170. I go to LA Fitness as often as I can - Belly dancing class ROCKS! I have a personal trainer as well. In terms of food, I could do better. I have given up juice which is really hard. I still need to cut back in so many areas - alcohol. I no longer eat til I'm stuffed, and if I ate something truly fattening, I make sure I hit the gym or go walking come hell or high water! My son is my biggest motivator - he comes to the gym with me!!0
