Okay so it's super high cal...how can it be modified to be healthier?
Though that sounds fabulous, just adding the ingredients alone, it has to be more than 500 calories..
I'm sorry- but just add them up... it would definitely be more than that for the whole loaf.
I'm not going to keep that recipe- because I could easily snarf it down and convince myself I only ate 500 calories..

Believe me- rationalizing my eating habits is an art I've perfected!

You're right--it has 1,119.25 per loaf. If you visit the recipe website, there's a huge red disclaimer/apology because the blogger had calculated the calories based on the cookbook the recipe came from, assuming they were correct.

It's not unhealthy; just high in calories. Just have 1 slice (1/8 the loaf) for 278 calories, log it, and enjoy.

Ohhh. Sad trombone. I just read the recipe. I should have known better than believe a whole loaf of ANYTHING that is measured in loaves would be 500 calories.

My bottom lip is seriously sticking out right now.

I am so sorry guys I did not know it was mislabeled. I got the recipe off of pinterest, became excited and just immediately shared it on the thread without reading the recipe.

Sorry, the nutritional info is WAY off. This is not 500 cals for the loaf. More like 2222; or 278 per slice (assuming 8 slices). Probably meant 500 cals per serving.

oops, looks like the image in my first reply wasn't visible . trying again

    I've so done this lol.

No worries....I don't know about anyone else but I lack major self control so I'd want to eat the whole damn thing..

BUT one slice as a treat? DELICIOUS>
