What's your scariest movie?

I was 8 years old when I watched poltergeist. It still scares the crap out of me 27 years. It was dark, raining, and I had a huge tree that tapped against the window the night I first saw it. My brother had that exact same clown, which ended up in the closet for 15 years, and then ended up in the trash. Everytime I catch it on tv its always raining horribly, really dark, and very quiet. What movie still creeps you out?

Nightmare on Elm Street. Still can't even watch a minute of it. Had horrible cousins who would frighten me with the "song" from it.0

Oh my goodness! I think I had the same clown too! Did your parents pick it up in New Orleans? Mine brought the darn thing back from a vacation; of course, this happened right after we saw that movie so we were basically terrified of the silly dolls. We'd try to put them in closets and my mom would put them back neatly against the corner of a wall. It was freaky! We didn't know she was doing this so we were convinced someone was messing with us (unless it was the clown - ha ha ha).
Hmm. I know Arachnophobia and Alien always left me nervous. Jaws definitely scared me witless (enough to make myself nervous anytime someone went duh duh duh duh da da daaaaaaa da da daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!0 -
Pet Sematary
I was the first horror movie I watched. I was in 8th grade. My BFF and I watched it in her basement. I still can't watch it to this day.0 -

Does Gigli with Jennifer Lopez count as scary lol I mean it made me run out of the theater never want to see movies again.
if not Night Mare on Elm street orignal and the first one0 -
I tend to be more scared by psychological thrillers than horror movies, so Silence of the Lambs for me.0

I have yet to see a really scary movie..what am I missing? I am the one who sits in the house waiting for some intense moment in the movie to scare the crap out of the rest of the family..and I'm not above waiting till they are asleep and going outside and scratching on their windows.0

I saw "Seven" with Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman when I was a teenager. I recall coming home that night and peering into every dark corner, petrified that someone was waiting to grab me. Not only was I scared, but I felt shell-shocked and very depressed for several days after seeing that movie.0

The original Puppet Master0

My mind jumps to Jeepers Creepers! It was probably the first scary movie I ever saw.0

Oh man ! I SO agree with you buddy. I keep telling people that I am not really scared by actual "horror movies" because right from the get-go the message is out there that we are supposed to be scared but THAT movie "Se7en" was absolutely breathtaking. I have never been more thrilled or scared as I was in the last few minutes of that movie and this wasn't even a horror film. The psychological assault of the movie eats into your mind.
Thumbs up buddy !0 -
LOL! The wedding video comment was hilarious.0

Poltergeist scared the living s*** out of me, the scene with that frickin' clown made me lose so much sleep as a kid.
The Ring gave me the heebie-jeebies too.0 -
Halloween, the first one. I saw it at the theater with a friend, and couldn't sleep that night. Then, when it was on TV once, my sister and I watched and sat in the same chair, hugging each other and screaming!0

A Clockwork Orange..not scary but twisted and demented0

I have yet to find a movie that scares me - I keep trying and am always disappointed, I have been trying to find a scary movie since I was about 10.0

Very few horror movies creep me out but one will always stick out in my head and maybe it's just because it was completely gross. The Human Centipede. I don't know how they could make a sequel but I won't be putting that on my playlist. I didn't eat for two days after. Now that's a good diet motivator.0

hubby loves clockwork orange too. his is the shining. i saw it as an adult. i didnt get it. the twins are creepy but nothing else. he saw it at 7, so that i could see. his is the blood out of the walls.0
