I have a rehearsal the night of Halloween, so hopefully there will be like, a party or something before Halloween so I actually have an excuse to make a Molly Aster (from the play Peter and the Starcatcher) costume. And if I'm Molly, I hope that my friends will be Peter and Black Stache so we can be ~complete.

Halloween is massive here, you're out of place if you don't dress up... Of course I'm a Celt and we invented Halloween so we have to do it right!!! I have LOADS of ideas but haven't settled on one just yet...would like my body to be rocking that week too!

I too LOVE LOVE LOVE Halloween! We knew last Halloween what we were going to be - our costumes are just about done and have already started planning next year's costume. Sorry I can't reveal - we never ever tell! But the last few years we have been....A butterfly and the butterfly catcher....Zeus and Hera....woodland fairy queen and the huntsman.....Sea Nymph/Niad and The Gorton's fisherman..... We have a blast on Halloween!!!

I usually have more than one costume.

We'll be doing a zombie walk, so we'll put together zombie costumes for that. I'm thinking compromised CDC workers.... torn hazmat suits or lab coats. We were zombie Jay & Silent Bob for last year's walk.

But for Halloween parties or going out to clubs, I want something prettier. I'm still not sure what. I'd love to do Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn, but that requires a LOT of sewing. I'd also like to revisit my Egyptian costume, but change it a bit to be Bastet the Cat Goddess. Not sure what I'd make for my husband in that case. Unless I mummify him.

As for me. Going to be an elf. I'm against tramping up the holiday so it will be an elf that wears actual clothes. A wood elf probably, with autumn colors.
