When I was little, my Dad borrowed a gorilla mask from some kid getting off of the bus. Put it on, and barged into a room when his 4 children (me included) and the neighbor's 4 kids were all watching a movie.

We all screamed and push the littlest one to the front as the "sacrifice".

I turned my back on her as she kept talking. Talking, talking, talking. I rolled my eyes and made faces that she couldn't see, as she kept on and on and on. My mind was about to blow up. I focused all my attention on the rotations of the red and blue lights atop the police cars a few parking lots away. And still she went on. Shut up. Shut up.
