I watched a show that said these are pretty useless and that plain old water works a lot better then sprays and such.

Here are the results from the show.

    So, generally:
    Any organic fruit
    Any organic vegetable
    Any bean or seed
    Any low GI grain
    Unsweetened soy milk
In my case, any fresh seafood that's not on Monterey Bay Aquarium's no-no list (I'm a vegan that eats seafood)

    Vegans don't actually eat seafood....

Some smart bugger once said: When you go to the grocery store just shop the periphery not the interior. In other words all the fresh stuff is on the outside walls and all the processed crap is on the shelves in the interior. In general.

    This!^^
I step in to the aisles for canned tuna and salmon and canned veggies for quick meals. LOTS of fresh fruit and Dannon nonfat plain yogurt. (Still frozen berries in yogurt makes an ice creamy like meal!) I eat lots of fruit. Not so good on the veggies some of the time just because I don't cook much living alone.

Most of my regular items have already showed up a few times. This is more like a monthly list than weekly, and I'd adjust it seasonally. With some repeats, I'd add...
berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries), bananas (smoothies!), grapes
plums, apples, pears, kiwi, oranges and/or grapefruit
    avocados
baby spinach (good in eggs, sautéed vegetables, salad, sandwiches)
    tomatoes
    mushrooms
    cucumbers
    pickles
    potatoes
    garlic, basil and/or other spices
    cous cous
some Trader Joe's and Amy's frozen dinners - bean burritos or enchiladas, tofu pad thai, eggplant parmesan (check because they vary a lot in calories counts), Chicken Shu Mai
Trader Joe's frozen french toast (110 cal / slice)
    chicken thighs
    tofu
    tea (different kinds for variety)
dark chocolate (Godiva dark chocolate truffles are a good one)
    hummus and/or baba ganoush
    milk
    eggs
cheddar cheese, laughing cow, cottage cheese, sour cream
Luna fiber bars, I change which I get, also like some of the Kashi bars, but most the store I shop at don't have the ones I like (Kashi GoLean - but not the crunch or chewy kinds)
    whole wheat bagels and/or bread
some fruit juice (not as much as I used to get, but some to help make smoothies with)
occasionals: smoked salmon (lox), flaxseed, peanut butter, dried pineapple, dark chocolate covered almonds and/or ginger, artichoke hearts, olives
paper goods, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc.
