I taped The Biggest Loser to watch later. I need more time in my day.

Welcome back Nikki. If you stick with us, we can be the fab five. I'm going to have to think about which super hero to be - I love them all. I can't think of any others off the top of my head but will try.

I have to go shovel more snow :grumble:

-LOVE the idea of superhero pics as our profile pics. I'm totally in. I'll need to think about that.

-Nikki, so glad to see that you're back!! We missed you! Just check in whenever you can :)

-I watched the Biggest Loser last night. I sort of intermittently watch, but I think I might stick with watching, plus there's a couple from my town, so there's added incentive. They lose a hella lot of weight. Then again, their bodies are probably like wtf is going on. 6 hours of cardio, normal caloric intake, bwha? Plus, I'm sure a lot is water weight as well. Not to be a downer on what they do, cause it's pretty amazing, as long as they take the skills they learn from the show and continue it at home.

-I'm having a super blah week. I am not up any weight, but haven't lost any this week, which is okay I guess. I just am feeling super fatty mcfattypants today. Not sure why. Plus, I'm grumpy. I absolutey know it's the stress of basically starting a new job this week. One that I really am not super comfortable in all my roles yet, whole new group of people to meet and work with, uprooted from my old office, etc. I'm just out of my routine, and I think once I get into it at the new position it'll be fine. One thing that's nice is the clinic (well, at least the main office of it) is located even closer to the rec center. Was super exhausted today, but grumbled my whole way to the gym and my whole way through the hour on the elliptical. Did it none the less. I knew it was bad when Rihanna's "Please Don't Stop the Music" (totally my pump it up, work out jam) came up on the shuffle, and was like, meh. Will try to go to bed really early tonight.

I weighed myself 3 times this morning. The first two times it said 239.0. I was honestly kinda mad at my scale cause I felt like it was lying to me. I weighed again later (with sleep pants on this time...the first time I was nekkid) and it said 240.0. I'm still not excited about it. I don't want to be so disappointed when I see it go up again.

Also I guess its because I don't feel like I've worked for it this week. I worked out Monday night, but took Tuesday off work and went shopping with my bff. We had Olive Garden (soup, salad and breadsticks, YUM) and I didn't get home till late so I didn't get to work out. I had an emotional day yesterday and didn't work out last night either.

blombie - shopping is exercise - you burn more calories than sitting home on the couch. I actually find I lose more weight if I take a day or two off exercising. I would believe it.

nikki - keep walking and doing your best.

akasullengal - how did the C25K training go today? I am so happy I just finished week six and made the 25 min run.

cd - Biggest loser loses - wow - that's unreal weight loss. I think I am happier with my 1-2 pounds a week.

Have a great day and I will see you all for weigh-in tomorrow.

tonight is zumba night....haven't been in a very long time. the one I went to in December turned into a hip hop aerobics class instead of zumba....it was before Thanksgiving when I was in a real zumba class. kinda excited but kinda scared to go back to it. but weigh in is tomorrow and I gotta get my head back in the game.

Good job gals! Blombie, that's fantastic about the weight! I always think the same thing when I go down quite a bit in a day. If you're around there again tomorrow, you totally know it's for good! Good luck with Zumba! I think you'll do fab and it's a great calorie burner!

pinbot, i did week 1 day 3 of c2k today. No real problems with it. But for ****s and giggles, after the 20 min of intervals were up, I wanted to see if I could run longer... .I BARELY made it to the 90 seconds of running that needs to be done next week. Thoroughly depressing, but it feels good to be running. Even wearing my tighter gym pants, they are falling down below my "souffle" and I keep having to yank them up. I don't really enjoy the treadmill and think it would be better outside (obviously the weather isn't going to help me out much on that), but it's nice to see exactly how far i've run/walked. Congrats on you with the running though! VERY impressive.

I did do 30 min of elliptical afterwards. I've been so out of it with work this week, I didn't even remember tomorrow was weigh-in day. Now I'm definitely glad that I did that extra bit of elliptical. This has been a crazy week, so I'll pretty much be content if I maintain. I was down a bit this morning, but like Blombie, I'll believe if it is stays there.

I'm feeling less grumpypants today. I feel a bit more settled at the clinic and was pleasantly busy and productive. Also, that skinny vanilla latte I had this morning was ABSOLUTELY worth the calories (really, it's only at that point from the skim milk). I felt like a new woman (and less pudgy like whoa).

akasullengal - Congrats on getting through week 1. I remember so well gasping for breath after those short runs in the first weeks of C25K training. It gets easier and it does feel so great to run now. Next week all 3 days are 25 min runs for me (*gulp*). I can do it. People tell me running is mental so I keep trying to psych myself up for it. Life is great when your biggest problem is your pants are TOO big  I can't wait for it to get warmer so I can run outside.

blombie - I hope Zumba was fun.

Good luck on the weigh-in today. I am proud to say that for the 4th day in a row, I am 209 which is down 2 pounds from last week.

 Hello everyone, I happened across this thread and I know the group is small, but I was hoping I could chime in from time to time. I know Pinbotchick all ready from another group, I love that your Super heros and some days I could use one! :flowerforyou:

Debra - we would love to have you join us. We are now posting on the week 12 thread. Look for the new thread each Friday. This group weighs in on Fridays and we currently have a Valentine's day weight loss goal - we each picked 10 pounds to lose from Jan 1 to 2-14....
