Not that I'm really anything great.
I wouldn't mind trying a new workout. I see these all out there Crossfit, Turbofire, beach body, jillian michaels 30 day shred, P90X, etc. But I'm not willing to try one unless I see some real results from some real girls (not photo shopped fitness models). I want to see some of you who have had success.
I won't say what my workout is because it feeds the haters, but here are my before and after pics. Show me some of yours so I can see how good the results are and I might try something new.
I've been lifting heavy and running both for over 30 years. I started a new workout last June and write my story here (where the workout is also NOT mentioned) http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/740340-i-lost-60-lbs-at-age-51-anyone-can-any-workout

Bump
I have to say, I'm not a fan of the veins in the last photo but I understand they're under strain...they aren't showing in the photo from a week ago when you were more relaxed.
I need to start something else too...just not sure what right now so I'm "bumping" to keep track.0 -
How come you won't share your work-out?? I'm 43, been heavy-lifting since January, 2012, and I'd LOVE to know how to get results that are similar to yours. I THINK YOU LOOK AWESOME!0

I will share it. But if I mention it out on the forum I get a bunch of haters attacking and hijacking my posts, I'd rather avoid that and be able to talk about REAL things. I list everything on my MFP blog now and we have a group called Venus Index. Join it with us if you want.0 -
Dannnnnnnnnng! You looks so in shape, keep it up! Wow just amazing!0

Because you have to pay 600$ to get her program
And you have to pay hundreds of dollars for all the beach body programs and Jillian Michael's dvd's, Weight Watchers, etc... just because you have to pay, doesn't make it less effective. Some people, like myself, enjoy a pre-designed workout program (I own P90X, P90X2, Insanity and Chalean Extreme). With any good workout, it's 70% diet, 20% exercise and 10% rest to get the results.
And besides, the cost of the program has nothing to do with the results. Please stay on topic.0 -

I paid $9 for my Jillian michaels DVD. I've lost 50 lbs and am gaining muscle now. It's cost me a gym membership and groceries. :huh:0 -
You look great!0

You arent gaining muscle on a jm dvd, especially on a calorie deficit. Its actually quite the opposite, you will lose lbm on high cardio programs even on a small deficit.
Now back on topic...
Amazing results.. that takes a ton of dedicated to get to that level that you are at california... keep it coming.0 -
Just to add to what psulemon said, there is nothing in violation of our guidelines in this thread, except for the needless attacks on the OP (Now deleted). Users are more then welcome to share their experiences, ask for advice, and discuss, products that you pay for whether it be the Biggest Loser Workout DVD or BodybyVI etc. As long as no one is trying to sell or advertise on the main forums the discussion based on these topics is welcome.
On that note, you may disagree and constructively discuss the program's pro and cons, but remember you can do this without attacking the OP or other users. Post like that will be moderated against and deleted.
Thank you.
Cheers,
Scott

You are absolutely correct, I did not gain muscle from the DVD. That is from going to the gym and lifting heavy. I am impressed by the OPs transformation. It's impressive.0 -

This is all great. All the compliments are great. But I was not fishing for compliments nor trying to sell a workout.
I really and truly wanted to see some RESULTS of other programs. There must be some. ANYONE???0 -
Reasonably new to this - how do I join that?0

WOW WOW WOW and WOW ... you look amazing! I have started the P90X programme 2 weeks ago and i must say that i am seeing results i have never even seen in 2 months of normal gyming. I am not ready though to post any pix seaming i have only been into it for 2 weeks now. So far so good and looks like its working for me.
I hope to look as stunning as you do. I am not fat but i am very mushy and flabby. i do realize it will take me probably longer than i imagine in certain areas of my body BUT i know i will have improved more than 70% of my goal by December this year.
Will add photos as soon as i reach my 1st 30 days of P90X.0 -
I LOVE THIS. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Except I was hoping it was from someone who actually used this forum. But still, THANK YOU.0

Just keep working hard. You will get there. The deficit is what will lose the fat. The working is what will build the muscle.0 -
I'd still like to see more from actual forum members though, real success stories before and after, what various workouts have done for you, people like me who are not fitness models, just your average working girl.0

I've just started to add lifting to my routine, I am nowhere near where I'd like to be but after about 45 days I am seeing results. I started with Ripped in 30 and have moved on to my own routines. Maybe at some point I will have some great before and afters!0
