    That sounds like something that would be a great reward when you get to your goal weight!

    If you have a larger stomach and/or your waistbands tend to sit on your naval then it can affect the healing of the peircing. I tried twice and it never healed until i took it out. Ask a piercer for thier advice.
  • For some reason it actually didn't occur to me that I could ask the piercer what they thought. Hah. Thanks, guys.

    I've had mine done for 14 years, it's seen me through 70+lbs of weight gain and (so far) 23lbs of weight loss. It already looks alot better...I can see it now! But nothing else has changed about it :smile:

    Mine looks a million times better after losing weight, it has essentially "moved up" like 4 inches as I've lost fat on my middle.
    One of my best friends is using a belly button piercing as an incentive for when she hits her goal!
