    This is my sister's boyfriend's dog, Duke. I have threatened to steal him on numerous occasions and have all but claimed him as mine. He enjoys running with my sister and I and loves stealing other dogs' stuffed animals. Smartest, most well behaved dog ever, and a shelter dog. Pitt/Boxer mix.

    Almost all the coolest dogs I've met have been rescues. They are, in my opinion, definitely aware of their change in fortune.

    I treat my pets like family members. More like my children. I take them on holidays and day trips, my dogs come running with me, I dedicate most of my time on them :P

    My icon is a picture of our "non-human" - this is Sami, our crested gecko. She actually belongs to my kidlet but we both take care of her. My husband is allergic to *everything* and Sami is the first and only pet he isn't allergic to. She eats a powdered diet that we add water to so we don't have to keep crickets or insects (which would molt or shed). She feels like suede, loves room temperature (meaning we don't need heat lamps or anything like that) and she's arboreal, meaning the higher the better so her tank is filled with branches and plants. She doesn't *love* being handled but she puts up with it and "likes" crawling up onto our shoulders and will happily sit on a knee or hand for a while.

    Love this! I want!
