Why, oh why, do people keep revising her old threads....ok, 9/20 isn't THAT old, but oy. Her fresh posts are annoying enough.

Because someone has been going through and bringing her older threads back to life.

This reminds me of the posts in Parade about those Amish fireplaces. I bought like 9 of them one year while I was manic...

OP I think you look great and I'd love to be as fit as you someday.

I don't spend enough time on the forums to find you annoying yet, so thank you for the inspiration :flowerforyou:

Here's hoping my friends don't delete me for being nice to you...

This may be part of the joke here, I dunno. . . but aren't those fireplaces electric? That's just wrong on so many levels.

My dad's family lived up near Amish country in Kentucky. Most of the Amish there worked in construction or farming using industrialized electrical equipment. They just didn't have it in their home.

Also, they were not Mennonite. They were Amish.

As long as it's in my house and not theirs, it's cool. I had a success story about it, but the thread was deleted because I went over the shared link limit. :ohwell:

I think they only craft the casing. It was my most wonderful manic episode of ALL TIME. Husband got that credit card bill and was like, WTF?!? This is in no way a jab at any person who's Amish. I just think the ad in Parade sounds so GREAT. That's why I bought 9 of them.

Crystal, did you get to keep any of them? Do you like them? I could use a heater that doesn't use 1500 watts....do these? Do they heat well?

In other news, who is Rusty Moore? And what is a Fitness Black Book? Sounds dirty...or rusty and dirty...or sooty...just tell me if the heater heats.

I gave them to a women's shelter so each could have heat in their room, but I did use one for heat in my office for a while and it was great. I'd recommend them.

We have no heat in our kitchen, so it's almost like being outside when you walk in there. It keeps the entire room comfortable, and it's a pretty big kitchen. It was originally the carport, to give you an idea of the size. I recommend them, too!

ETA: Crystal has an amazing heart for giving those heaters to the women's shelter. ♥

    Howdy Folks,

I'm locking this thread since the conversation has seem to change course from it's original post. Thanks!
