Too many to list. I'm agoraphobic with panic attacks. But just to name one, driving across bridges.0

You aren't alone on that one, I would rather go 100 miles out of my way than to have to drive across a bridge.0 -
I've long been convinced I will die from a spider bite.
And also, I am scared to death of falling down stairs with one of my kids in my arms and hurting them.0 -

I'm kind of ok driving over them - it's walking over them that scares me!0 -
It's driving UNDER bridges that always makes me wonder, "Hmmm, how strong is that structure? Has it been check by an engineer recently?"0

Not sure if this is silly, but I sometimes have irrational fears about something bad happening to my pets.
I have ferrets and they, sadly, don’t live that long (about 9 years is the max I’ve seen one live). Once they hit about 4 years old, they are prone to all kinds of horrible cancers. Because they are considered “exotic” animals, most vets have no clue how to treat them so just finding a vet who will even take them in is a challenge (thank god I have one).
One thing you learn after working with these animals since 1995 is that once they start showing symptoms, even minor ones, they go downhill FAST. It’s awful. Since 1995 I have seen 7 of these amazing little guys lose battles against cancers. I want to punch cancer in the face.
Last night, my youngest boy, Iggy, who is obese due to medical issues and only about 1, started hacking and coughing and I freaked right the bleep out. I went into crazy paranoid mommy mode and held him in his carry bag which I strapped to my chest for several hours and called like 3 vets to see if they thought it was an emergency. Pretty much all of the vets told me it was “probably a cold”.
Deep down, I know it’s probably a cold. But I will be watching him like a hawk again today and if he continues hacking, he’s going to the vet for tests. And don’t even start me on my paranoia of distemper… *shudder*0 -
yup, that's exactly what happens!0 -
Clowns scare me. Also, the giant balls at the gym - I have always been afraid to sit ups on them because I am so scared they will pop. I know heavier people than me use them with no problems, but it scares me :frown:0
-
Also, cockroaches and spiders (shudder).0
-
Ridiculously claustrophobic - I go into a crazy panic if I can't undo a necklace clasp first time or if my shoelaces stick and I can't immediately get my walking boots off. Stright into hyperventilation.
So being stuck in a tiny hotel lift wasn't a good experience
And having a brain scan which meant staying completely still with a frame over my head for 15 minutes was not fun either.

Music box music makes me panic and break into a cold sweat and my heart starts to zoom.0

Water at night... Watched too many horror films with things coming out of lakes, rivers and the sea at night...
Also zombies... I know its irrational but they terrify me
Anything else I can overcome... I can keep a pretty cool and rational head in dangerous situations0 -
How do you get a boob caught in a 3 ring binder. Please explain. Pics to show how.0

Don't live in the NYC area. No way to get anywhere without crossing a bridge or two. Though you should be afraid of the tolls ($12 for the GW...sheesh)0 -
Bees or wasps
Flying in an airplane (i also used to have a panic attack whenever i would hear a plane flying above me but that went away when I moved right by an airport. I'm used to it now)
Choking.. I always freak out when someone has something in there mouth they're not supposed to.. for example, a bottle cap. I always think they're going to choke on it and then I won't be able to help because I don't know how to do the heimlich manuever. :laugh:0 -
Centipedes, dolls, elevators, electronic devices becoming sentient, the automated recording when you call a disconnected number (terrifying, don't ask me why)
And ghosts.... not ghosts exactly, but if I saw a ghost, not knowing if ghosts exist (which would be more sad than scary) or if I'm hallucinating (I would take it to mean I have schizophrenia which runs heavily in my dad family and having it is like my greatest fear)0 -

For some reason, even though zombies are scary in themselves, I love zombie movies/shows and video games. Like Resident Evil. I love the idea of blowing some heads off in a zombie apocolypse...
As far as irrational fears, I hate butterflies and moths. Butterfly wings are pretty, but their legs and bodies freak me out. Moths are just horribly disguting to me...
Also, I used to be afraid to close my eyes in the shower. I don't know why, but I used to have this fear that someone would be right in my face when I opened them.0 -

He was leaning over a lamp trying to inspect his mouth (holding a mirror ofc).. he accidentally drooled on the lightbulb (derp) and it exploded. Luckily he was not injured but it could've been VERY nasty. Tiny shards every where. Imagine them flying into the back of your throat.
I'm sorry.0 -

^^ this - I cant walk on the basement doors on the sidewalks. Twice someone has told me to get over and both times I fell through and they felt like sht. Only to my ankle, but I scraped up my shins. I have the worst luck with those things.0 -
