I loved having Mirena. After the 1st month, I did not get another period. I would have just had another one put in, but my new insurance doesn't cover it. I will say though, when they went to take it out. She could not find it, so she checked without the instruments and found it on the side. It has come out of position. I had started having pains in my lower abs. the last 3 months and she thinks that's when it moved.0

i've tried alot of bc pills in the past to regulate my period, i only got it about 3-4 times a yr, but my cramps were always horrible even on the pill. I used to take flexeril, or vicodin for my cramps. finally made the decision 2yrs ago to have a hysterectomy, one of the best decisions of my life. no more horrible cramps or having to worry about periods or taking pills/getting shots.0
