Okay so I don't eat much. Or very often. And my metabolism is dead.
Please give me some tips and advice, despite the fact that I can't eat a lot?
Thanks!
Maybe a list of foods or other random tips?

I would like to know this as well.
I am recovering from an eating disorder and need my metabolism sped up.
From what I know 5-6 small meals a day and exercise helps some...but you will probably gain before losing.

i've been able to help my metabolism by eating more often throughout the day. i messed mine up when i would eat nothing for 24 hours and then just eat some dinner. it doesnt have to be high calories foods, it could be fruits/veggies or maybe a low-cal smoothie or some yogurt, just something to keep it going. trust me it does help0

You will have to find the cause of your problems. Metabolism is controlled by your hormones. At your age, if you have a slow metabolism, its likely caused from not eating enough. And judging from the picture, you don't have an issue with a slow metabolism. It sounds more like you have a psychological issue with food. If you have an eating disorder, you need to get yourself checked out by a doctor, and not a bunch of people online. Good luck.0

I am recovering from an ED as well and to fix your metabolism you have to eat more. So go see a dietician and get a meal plan is what I suggest. You also look scary thin and will probably need to gain some weight Message me with questions.0

EXERCISE
Regularly
That will do it.0 -
Exercise increases metabolism and will also help you to feel more hungry so that you can eat more. If your issue is that you are just not hungry enough, getting in some time at the gym will definitely help.0

Please eat more0

Eat more and move more
THIS eat healthier not less, and MOVE MORE...... all day every day0 -
Eat smaller meals more often...... Count your calories and vary it from day to day ie: 1100 Cal one day then 1300 then 1000 then 1400 ect. Make sure you are eating clean. Give your body lots of nutrients.0

# and size of meals will have no impact on metabolism. It is the calories throughout the day, or over a couple days, and the amount you move.0 -
1. Exercise
2. Add muscle
3. Small meals throughout the day
4. Get plenty of protein
5. Walk after meals0 -
Google "metabolic reset". You may find several different methods, but what they all have in common is making sure that you eat enough. It doesn't matter at all when you eat, but if you're eating too little, your metabolism will slow down in order for your body to maintain homeostasis on a small amount of food.
Small meals throughout the day is just one dietary strategy that people use because it works for them. Your body doesn't give a crap when you eat, as long as you're getting enough.0 -
There are supplement like Biotin but it needs to be taken with precaution. I believe you need to break your routine. If you only barely eat your 1200 cals, maybe you need to jump it up a notch for few days, I know it sound silly but it does work.
Exercise on regular basis and eat something before exercising would definitely help0 -

Caffeine (in reasonable doses, and in natural forms - tea and coffee) and spicy foods can also help rev you up a little. I wouldn't recommend putting sriracha *in* your coffee, but some of each of those most days can help.
Plus, then you get to put sriracha on things.
And yes, the size and frequency of your meals won't affect your metabolism. However, if you have an antagonistic relationship with food (are recovering from an ED, for example), looking at a big plate of food can be daunting at best, nauseating at worst. So there's no harm in eating multiple small meals over the course of the day, as long as you're getting enough calories. Which is probably more than you think it is.0 -
Metabolism is like a furnace. It needs fuel to burn strong.
That is all.0 -
Eat more and play (physical work) more. Also, make sure that your net calroies (food calories minus exercise calroies) equal at least 1200 cals per day, as recommneded by MFP.
It might help to think of your body as a furnace. when you stop eating or eat very little the furnace tends to die down ( = low metabolism). - you do not want that to happen.

Strength training. The more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn in your sleep etc. It helps to be male, dudes naturally have more muscle.
Anything else is urban legend. When, what, how often you eat means nothing or so little as to be meaningless. (Frequent, small meals can have other benefits, however.)
Chances are, you're consuming more calories than you think. Sorry, but there is no magic shortcut. To lose significant body fat, you have to eat less.
That being said, for the op, if you look like your profile pic, it would be dangerous to lose more weight. I'd advise a nice, big healthy meal and a visit to the Dr. Focus on getting healthy, you do not need to lose weight.0 -
My metabolism had been pretty low ever since high school where I would skip breakfast and some lunch. But I started off eating an apple in the morning between 530-630. And I try to eat something small like another apple about 2-3 hours. With some light exercises, I was able to find myself getting hungry early.in the morning just a few weeks later. I'm still not a big breakfast person, but get soon hungry now and have to eat an apple and drink a bottle of water.0

Stop obsessing about metabolism. Stop obsessing over ways to increase the amount of food you can eat. Just eat what your body needs. So what if I can eat 3000 calories a day and you're at 1500? I know it sucks that I can eat a double Whopper with cheese and stay skinny and you can't but life isn't fair.
Exercise and eat good clean foods the majority of the time. Alter your calorie intake to match your lifestyle. If you work out and play harder you'll need more calories. If you sit around like a dead fish you need less. Having a goal of raising your TDEE just so you can eat more food is a horrible perspective. Make you goals something like "I want to run a 5k in under 25 minutes." or "I want to dead lift my body weight." If you keep focusing on food, food, food... "Please help me be able to eat more food" then you're going to be miserable.0 -
Please rephrase your question so I can understand what results you are aiming for and then I can help. Are you looking to burn fuel faster? Are you looking to burn fuel longer? Are you looking to store less fuel? Are you looking to fuel certain kinds of activities?0
