    I was having some melancholy (sp) moments, thinking of a dear friend who passed away years ago. Then I was thinking of his kindness, his sense of humor, his eyes and his smile. Realizing that I can still remember his voice and his laugh...that made me smile.

    That I have so much to be thankful to God for. Seeing my children grow and listening to their laughter and them making me laugh. Seeing a positive cumulative effect on some habits I've been working on. Seeing pics of my kids when they were born. Typing about seeing the pictures put a huge smile on my face. The gratitude I feel for contentment and peace and forgiveness. God has blessed! Ahhhhh.....

    My husband made my smile and eyes water today...

    We were just talking about nothing much and he grabbed me, looked me in the eyes and simply said "I love you, Julie-Ann"

    It just made me feel all warm and very happy :)

    Two items: My daughter as she crawled out of bed after a late night of volleyball games - her hair fluffy, wavy, and wild - to give me a morning hug. she is no longer my little baby!

    My husband sound asleep in bed but waking when I kissed his bare shoulder to tell him goodbye.

    My partners dog made me smile. i bought him 4 toys wednesday and he is scared of the 2 that squeak and the other 2 clearly aren't good enough! :grumble:
    A new one came today and it giggles when shaken and he isn't scared of that! Love it when he runs after it and growls at me for trying to take it :heart:

    Today I found out that some varieties of carpenter ant in Southeast Asia actually grab onto their enemy and explode to defend their colony. That made me smile cause it's cool :)

    Women tend to reply negatively when I do that, but maybe it's just because they have no idea who I am.

    I smiled at a painting where a devil carried his large penis in a wheelbarrow. Yup.

    I was totally going to say my dog before I read the first post, so now I guess I'm going to go with my youngest son, who woke me up this morning by informing me that he need some food in his dump truck, pointing to his belly!
