POMBERRY PROTEIN SHAKE
1 cup Pomegranate Pizzazz tea, chilled
1 cup ice
1 scoop Vanilla Whey Protein Shake powder
1/3 cup fresh whole strawberries (tops removed)
1/4 cup fresh blueberries
Place all ingredients in blender and blend for 30 seconds or until well mixed. Serve immediately. Note: I made the tea a bit strong and a day ahead so it would be plenty cold for the shake.0 -

I am careful with the smooties as they can really boost your carbs (sugar carbs in particular). I made the Vitamix Broccoli Cheese Soup this week and it was delish! I did make mine full fat but that is a matter of preference and diet choice (I am primal). If you do not have a Vitamix, you can still make it in the blender but will then need to heat it in the microwave or on the stove. You won't need to blend as long since you are not trying to heat the soup and your soup might not be as smooth.
1 cup (240 ml) skim or low fat milk
1/3 cup (38 g) shredded lowfat cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cup (195 g) broccoli or cauliflower, fresh or frozen, steamed
1 teaspoon diced onion
1/2 chicken or vegetable bouillon cube
1. Place all ingredients into the Vitamix container in the order listed and secure lid.
2. Select Variable 1.
3. Turn machine on and slowly increase to Variable 10, then to High.
4. Blend for 5-6 minutes or until heavy steam escapes from the vented lid.
Note: Serve over steamed broccoli pieces. (optional)
