Friday mini rant

Does it annoy anyone else when they see people posting things like "is eating 1200 calories enough...I'm so stuffed everyday I can barely eat it all?" .....like really?? how did you get fat then? Cause I'm pretty sure that if you were only munching down 1200 calories a day you would not be fat...unless of course you only eat cake or something....Idk, just annoys me.
Also who hates ALL exercise?? I hate when people say they can't exercise because they hate it SOOOOO MUCH!!! I'm pretty sure there are tons of different things you can do for exercise, maybe exercise your brain a little and think outside the box!
I know this stuff shouldn't bother me and I should just let people do and say what they want but whatever...I just had to say it

You're not the first one, and you won't be the last one.0

Well, in all fairness, there probably ARE people that hate ALL exercise. I find quite a lot of it all annoying though, and I try to keep from posting snarky stuff, because I realize people are often desperate and frustrated, or don't even really have the most basic rudimentary knowledge about nutrition (ie thinks dietary fat makes you fat). (doesn't always work, but hey, I try).
Some recurring favorite annoyances are:
"I skipped (lunch/dinner/breakfast/afternoon snack). Am I going to go into STARVATION MODE ?"
"I went 3 grams over on fat, is my progress for the (week/month/forever) ruined ?"
"I can't exercise, I have a family and a lot of bills and can't afford it" (actually, I think it's only one guy who does that one. And no offense to the people that have a lot of family responsibilities, as I'm sure it makes things difficult at times)
The serious lack of anyone to think their question hasn't been asked and answered at least once, if not eleventy billion times and searching first
And the often "well-intentioned" posts:
"You MUST eat breakfast"
"Your diet coke is making you fat" (again, no offense to the people that do have reactions to aspartame or artificial sweeteners)
"Gluten is killing you/making you fat"
"Carbs are killing you making you fat"
"Fat is killing you making you fat"
"Protein will ruin your kidneys"
"GMO is killing you"
"Non-Organics are killing you/making you fat"
"Processed foods of any kind are killing you/making you fat" (Hello, did you raise and butcher or grom all of your own dinner ? Yeah, didn't think so)
I will go anti-rant here and take a moment to thank all of the people that have the patience of saints and answer all the same questions nicely over and over and over again (Not so much for the people that LOVE to preach the wrong advice over and over again, no matter how well intentioned)0 -

The only reason I am annoyed with people who say they are 'stuffed' with 1200 cals is because I don't think I have EVER felt full on 1200 cals! I am jealous!
NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM!0 -
I agree on the 1200 cals a day part (for the people on here who re trying to lose weight). How did we get to be 50+ lbs overweight then...eating like a bird? haha! BUt remember, some people are on here to be fit and healthy, not JUST to lose weight. Maybe they are at their perfect size, but want to build muscle or just eat better.
But I know what cha' mean-- in my past life (6 months ago!) I could eat 1200 cals in a dinner. That's why I'm here!0 -

It would appear you are part of the problem then.0 -
Yes I got fat cause I USED to eat a lot... but when you start dieting, or counting calories or however you wanna call it, you get used to it and you can barely eat 1200 calories.
I started with this in january, now when i eat 1200 I feel bloated and so full and fat again.0 -

Awesome, simply awesome! Agreed!0 -
Well, I gotta say that once I started eating better and stopped going for empty calories...yeah, I started feeling full. Sometimes it's hard to eat up to my calories because a lot of veggies/good for you food is filling but not super high in calories. I can understand that one to a point.0

My mini rant:
Lose is a different word from loose.
If you lose something you no longer have it.
If something is loose it needs to be tightened.
I'm not saying that my grammar or spelling is anywhere close to perfect. It just makes me cringe.
Carry on0 -

My boyfriend was a habitual eater - he would just munch all day without being hungry and not even think about it. Now that he's only really eating when he's hungry, he sometimes has a hard time hitting half of his calorie goal. I wish I had his problem - I'm almost always hungry. >:[0
-
I got fat of eatin sweets and goodies I didn't count my calorie intake now the goodies have gone I barely eat 1200 I try my best an have been in tears that I cnt meet my goal but on the other hand a stone in a week and a half is pretty cool too0

They're not actually "stuffed" at 800 calories.
They're terrified of eating anything that isn't "lite" or "low cal". They're scared of eating real food, and enough of it. When hunger overcomes the fear, the pendulum will swing back the other way.
Hate to say it but I lived through this myself and it sucks.0 -

I am on a 1200 calories a day program, And i usually stay under the calorie goal by 100-300 because i just cant find what else to eat without making my carbs/fat/sat fat go over by a lot >.>, i probably used to eat 2,500+ calories a day in junk food before i joined MFP, i mean its working, im losing weight, and i still eat what i want, but i just get annoyed that i cant eat as much crap as before xD oh well, at least after i reach my goal i go to 1600 calories to maintain0

I think its more a case thar people find it difficult to eat 1200 of foods that now includes salad stuff and steamed vegetables along with everything else that makes up the 1200 calories where before a person was consuming more like 2000 plus calories of more saturated, concentrated foods like chocolate, fatty meats and creams.
Its more that people find it difficult to eat so much low calorie but high in nutrients vegetable bulk and wholegrains.
Why be so harsh on people just because you haven't stepped back to see it from their point of view? Chill out - we are all on our seperate paths and we have to walk our own walk.0 -

I need to lose some more pounds and then hopefully my middle age spread won't be quite so loose.0 -

I have to say not everyone gains weight from eating too much. I counted my calories and ran everyday but despite my efforts I was gaining weight. Come to find out my thyroid was under active. Just saying that we can not always judge people without knowing their full situation.0 -

I ate 1/2 a leaf of lettuce and 9 ice cubes0 -
Speak for yourself. I've eaten a whole lettuce leaf today and I'm super stuffed. That's really all the food I need. I can't wait to get my It Works! Body Wrap tonight.
Looking forward to dinner! Diet water and a 100-calorie snack pack of oreo dust0 -
You can be eating a lot more volume of food with fewer calories overall when you are conscious about what you are eating. Someone posting about being stuffed at 1200 calories may in fact feel very full because he/she is eating fruits, vegetables and lean meats. The same person may have previously eaten double the amount of calories of processed crap food and still felt hungry.
I always find that eating crappy food leaves me hungry for more crappy food and I eat more.0 -
