Ah...we didn't really walk down the isle....we got married at the JoP. We've been married 23 years this year. There a millions of songs he has dedicated to me. :blushing:

The last one was Feels Like Tonight by Daughtry because he never realized he didn't propose, so he bought me a new engagement ring and proposed on our 20th anniversary in Grand Cayman. Boy was he ever acting weird when we flew down there...I couldn't figure him out.

I walked down the aisle to Time to say goodbye by Andrea Bocelli for my father. My first dance was Somebody by Depeche Mode, which I swore since I was 11 years old would be my wedding song!

I walked in with the bridal march. We walked out as a couple to the entertainer- the 4piece orchestra was not amused- they thought we were not taking our marriage seriously. We walked into the reception with Jason Mraz's I'm yours. Our first dance was When you say nothing at all. My husband wanted us to walk into the reception to 3 days grace- riot, but I didn't think that would be in too good of taste considering...

Unfortunatly I did not get a traditional wedding, but if I ever will:
My Entrance Song would be: Shania Twain - you're still the one (should make some people think, but probably will not!)
Ring exchange: Shania Twain - From this moment on
First Dance: I still have to figure that one out, but Brian McKnight would be nice with Back at one or You're still the one!

Walked down the aisle to Canon in D, played on steel drums...walked back up at the end to "One Love" by Bob Marley.
  • I didnt do traditional wedding music for our wedding...the church was a little skeptical but, they allowed it and I had a good mixer to edit the song at the end of the wedding so it came on at the "big, Loud" part of the song!! :-)

Wedding party in: "I Believe In You and Me" The Four Tops
Mother's Lighting Candle: "There You Are" Martina McBride (but sung by my friends who sang at the ceremony
Walked in: "From this Moment On" Shania Twain (but sung by my friends and they recorded me saying the beginning)
LIghting of Unity Candle: a song my friends sang but I cant remember what it was...AAAHHHHHH!!!! It was only 3 years ago!!!
Walked out: "Love of a Lifetime" Firehouse
    Walked into reception- "Brick House"
First Dance: “I Could Not Ask For More” Sara Evans
Wedding Party: “My Wish” Rascal Flatts
Bride & Father: “Hero” by Mariah Carey
Groom and Mother: “A Song for Mama” Boyz II Men
Groom & his daughter (and all father/daughters at wedding): "My Little Girl" Tim McGraw
Bride & Mother: “In My Daughter’s Eyes” Martina McBride

Yeah, I liked the idea of putting up all our "special" songs!

Mine is Ben Folds - The Luckiest.

I will walk down the aisle some day to that song...

You know, I played that song for my fiance because I've always been soooo in love with it. It brings tears to my eyes every time. So I was hoping that he would like it, because I was thinking we could use it for our first dance. I had this dreamy image of the whole thing in my head.

.....he didn't like the song. I was really disappointed. He actually felt guilty afterwards because he knew I really wanted him to like it. But, what can ya do? He still says we can use it if that's what I want, but now that I know he doesn't like it, of course we won't use it. We'll find something we both love.

Rant over. Long story short, I LOVE THAT SONG!

If I ever convince my bf to marry me I will have the same issue I think

Walked down the aisle to Robin Thicke's Angels.

The song that is actually our song, though, is Corinne Bailey Rae's rendition of "Is This Love?" by Bob Marley.

At my original wedding, Pachabel Canon in D and then Here Comes the Bride.
When we renewed our vows 25 years later, our daughter (my Maid of Honor) walked to Pachabel and I walked to "To the Stars" from the soundtrack of Dragonheart.
