I love to put hot sauce on it. Like Frank's Red Hot for example, wonderful.

I love cottage cheese because you can add almost anything to it.

I made the dessert mentioned here and it's amazing!

    Tub of low-fat cottage cheese
    Tub of light cool whip
    packet of sugar free jello
    Can of crushed pineapple!

OMG I converted a lot of cottage cheese doubters with this one! I took it to work last week:happy:

I like mine plain. However every once in a while I'll add fresh pineapple, but only when said fruit is on sale.

this week i made a baked chicken in a sauce that was basically a honey based bbq sauce (chicken was boneless skinless boobies)
for two nights i ate one 7 oz boobie along with a broccoli saute
tonite i took the 3rd boobie, shredded it, added about 1 tablespoon of minced red onion, about a cup of shredded fresh parsley, a tablespoon of parmesan cheese, a tablespoon of wasabi and 1/2 a cup of cottage cheese to turn it all into a very tasty chicken salad (i'm trying to teach myself to eat cottage cheese, i've never liked it, but i need to give it a shot....it was hardly noticable in the salad and it gave it a great consistancy)
i ate 6 oz worth of the salad with 1.5 oz of thick cut kettle potato chips
the whole meal was only 538 calories!

I love cottage cheese plain, or just about ALL of the above-mentioned ways too! My favorite though? Protein pancakes! ....and they are so easy, low fat, and high in protein--of course!

    1/2 c. cottage cheese (I use 2%)
1/2 c. egg whites (approx. 4 egg whites)
    1/2 c. rolled oats
    1 heaping tsp. baking powder
    dash cinnamon (optional)
    dash vanilla (optional)

Blend all together in blender. Cook like regular pancakes, and top with frozen blueberries, thawed in the microwave in their own juices with maybe a little NATURAL sweetener like honey or Xylitol (my personal favorite because it's low carb), and smart beat non-fat squeeze butter, and a little natural peanut butter. Wow!!

    bump!

    Protein pancakes
in oatmeal. (it has similar consistencies, so I don't really notice it.)
in fruit salad.( I make a pistachio salad with 2 cups cottage cheese, 2 cups vanilla ff yogurt, 1 can fruit cocktail in light syrup, and 1 package of sugar free pistachio pudding.)
mix it with cinamon, and sweetener, then dip apple slices in it.
