What do you usually do? Are there any sites or DVDs you prefer to use when you workout? I usually stick to fitnessblender.com and yoga videos I get On Demand. But, I'd like to have more of a variety of choices.

I just started Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred. I've seen people report AMAZING results just from one 30 day cycle of it. I'd highly recommend it - it's very inexpensive (and... psst..... it's all up on Youtube). I'm only 2 days in and can already feel the difference. It's short (25ish min) and kind of repetitive, but gets results.0

I do strictly weight training and for cardio I spar with my hubby0

I also do 30 Day Shred, which is a great program. I also have an elliptical, weights, jumpr rope, exercise ball, Zumba for the Wii, amongst other odds and ends. While I don't use everything everyday or every week, it is nice to have a variety. The best for me though is lacing up those tennis shoes and heading outside. I am on Week 6 of C25K and I couldn't imagine not being a runner.0

I do BeachBody workouts. I'm currently doing CLX/TF hybrid.0

Fitocracy and the challenges available and a community a lot more forgiving and affirming.0

I started with 30 Day Shred and now I walk/jog on my treadmill while watching old seasons of The Biggest Loser - I intersperse that with crunches and pushups.
Good luck!0 -
I am on my 2nd round of Insanity!~0

I also use Jillian Michaels. I just got done with Ripped in 30 and am not moving on to her shred and shed (3x's a week) . I also have a treadmill that I run, intervals and do sprints (2-3 days a week). It is possible to lose weight at home. I just got a treadmill a few months ago. Although it has helped me get close to my goal weight it is not detrimental to losing weight and getting healthy! Good luck girl. I would find something that you love and stick with it!!! Have a great night! ~Corina0

I have a few workout DVD's for when I'm stuck working out at home. I have 30DS, and a couple by Bob Harper that are TOUGH. And they're pretty cheap too, at Target or Amazon. I've tried some on Netflix that I didn't care for. I'd like to try some of the Beachbody workouts, but they're pricey. I'll probably get one for this winter.
Otherwise, you can find a lot of circut type training workouts online, like doing jumping jacks, push ups, jog in place, etc. that would be a decent workout if you did it long enough.0 -
I do kettlebells and I use this site: http://livefitrevolution.org/ It's free but requires a signup.
Kettlebells have been the first exercise I even remotely enjoyed.0 -
I've done P90x in the past. I have a nicely equipped, although small, home gym. Rubber hex dumbbells, a bench, squat/bench rack, suspension straps, and a neck thing that looks like an S&M device.
Mostly strength training with short (30-60 second) rests nowadays. I hear the "on demand" channels have some great workouts.0 -
I have a tredmill and a total gym. it is a pretty good combination, I am looking to get a exercise bike soon.0

Beachbody - doing Turbo Fire right now & love it. Think it's my fave so far!0

I'm a big fan of running, been doing it for the better part of 25+ years and it's always worked for me....this year I've done 1-full marathon, 2-half-marathons, 2-8ks, and the Warrior Dash. I weigh pretty much what I weighed in high school. Having said that, I also do any Jillian Michael's DVD....been through 30 Day Shred, Ripped In 30, and currently doing 6 Week 6 Pack now. My go to exercise though is running....do C25K if you haven't and set goals to run a race....it's a high only runners know.0

For those who are in 30DS levels 1 and 2 or haven't started yet... Yes it's on YouTube but level 3 skips in the middle of several exercises (planned maybe to get us to buy them? lol).
That being said.. I did 30DS in Sept. I am working with Banish Fat Boost Metabolism and No More Trouble Zones for Oct. In Nov I am going back to 30DS.. in Dec? I am not sure yet.. Yoga Meltdown maybe, or Ripped in 30. Shed and Shred is another good option. All are Jillian's DVDs and inexpensive. All I have in my "home gym" so far is a thick yoga mat (concrete basement floors) and a handweight set of 3, 5 & 8 lb weights. I just can't afford the $150+ price tag for some of the "big" workout dvd's yet. Maybe next year...0 -
Look up "Blogilates" on YouTube. She has pilates and cardio videos that are great and usually very home or apartment friendly.0

The very first workout I did when I set out to lose weight a couple years ago was the 30 day shred. I've since committed to a gym membership, but I still use the yoga videos available on netflix when I don't want to go out.
Some great resources:
Blogilates.com (strength, stretching and cardio videos for free!)
Hulu (has an exercise channel. You can link to it through any DVR or video game system)
Netflix (tons of videos online)
Your friends! (everyone has a video or two they don't use anymore)0 -
I have a stationary bike, I walk my dog, I do Leslie Sansone - working on getting my fitness level up to do other stuff such as Zumba. I have Comcast and they have some good workouts on demand0
-
I do cardio DVDs and follow the "new rules of lifting for women" program. When i've finished new rules I plan on starting a 5 day split lifting routine. For the DVDs I mostly do turbojam, tapout xt and insanity, but also do turbofire, rockin body, zumba and ministry of sound workouts.0

I turn on my 80s dance music do some dancing like I did when I was younger and aerobics. I need to get back into belly dance its a great cardio and is so much fun.0
-
not sure if it's been said yet, but i LOVE blogilates (youtube.com/blogilates or blogilates.com) she makes workout calendars which you can use if you subscribe to her newsletter! her videos are great for home workouts! pilates, cardio, strength training
ETA: i just finished insanity - that's an awesome cardio program! i may use some of the workouts by themselves in the future.0 -
i run everyday for atleast 30 minutes... sometimes do walk, abs and some calisthenics.0

I have a stationary bike, a treadmill a weight machine and various free weights. I like to mix it up and do all sorts of different things. I also take a pole dance class once a week and do several strength and stretching exercises with the pole. I think I am not a usual home fitness person as I am lucky to have a lot of tools that I have gathered over the years.
Oh, and I love to walk my dogs in the evening!0 -
I'm doing Turbo Jam & Turbo Fire (Beachbody workouts) and 30 day shred. I also do occasional walks or bike rides with my family0
