Living around an American Army post, my English is a mixture of Germanic and American accents, topped with an exaggerated enunciation of my 'd', 't', and 'k' (if I didn't exaggerate them, I'd have a very sloppy pronunciation and would drop them altogether). Sounds quite funny, too. The best thing is, no-one can ever pinpoint where I'm from! :D

    lets have a party.

Where ya from? What kind of accent do you have?

I grew up in Chemung County, NY. I would say I have a typical American accent, but I say bagel funny and so does my best friend, so I can only conclude it's an anomoly (sp?) from that specific part of the world. :-)

I live in the Deep South now, but haven't picked up the accent.

I'm pretty good at picking up Irish vs. Scottish vs. English, etc. But I have been following this girl from Essex on YouTube and I swore when I first heard her (before I knew she was from Essex) that she was Australian. The boyfriend knew she was British and we argued about it. I hate when he's right! lol
