very cool..... I can't even hang from the rope for more than a few seconds much less climb it.

It's all in the feet! When you get the technique to wrapping the rope around your ankle and anchoring it with your other foot - it makes it so much easier!

For the record, I'm male, 47 years old, 5'10" and weigh 175. Before June of this year, I had never run a mile in my life. I was a 220 lb lazy slob for the previous twenty years.

    5 pull ups
    20 diamond push ups
    5K time - 26:21
    7 mile time - 1:07:00

Training for a half marathon next April.

3 real pushups, that's 256 pounds worth of body to push up. A month ago I couldn't do any. I can also run for miles now.
  • You people are hardcore!

I got a 1rm of 275lbs today on the close grip bp.

28 REAL push ups in a row (doing this with a few girls at work, in the lunch room each morning, increase by one each day - started with 10).

These were my PR's as of about two weeks or so ago... have been out of the gym (for a number of reasons) so I haven't pushed 'em recently. All are 1 RM's

    Squat 220
    Bench 155
    OHP 85
    Bent Over Row 130
DL 210 (lagging behind squat, assuming because I haven't been working on them as I should)
and, FWIW, BB Curl is 75

Really want to get those up!!!
  • My new fastest 1.5 mile run is 12.85 min and fastest mile is 8.44 min!!!

    Deadlift: 335.
    Squat: 275.
    Bench: 165.

Pretty weak numbers by most measurements, especially considering that I weigh 227. That said, I've only been under the iron for a month and a half now. I hope to more than double those within the next year.

I would't consider those weak at all. 335 on the d/l is killer.

I look at everything as relative. Somewhere out there, there is a tiny woman who is using my 1RMs as a warmup weight. Lol. Can't remember her name right off hand, but her max squat was 319 at a bodyweight of 114. Little lass is a monster. :)

I don't lift anymore, but my highest bench press was 248 when I was competing. I think I weighed... around 180 or so at the time.

248........wow........was that a record in your state? It's gotta be close...
