For the sake of clarification, I'm female :) Yes, I'm 17% body fat, have had it properly measured, that was about a year ago and I've gotten leaner since then. I have clear definition in my abs and legs, but don't see it in my shoulder's, back and arms. I've always assumed it was because I'm mainly a focussed runner. Just trying to figure out how to balance it while injury recovery is happening. I'm functionally fit for running. I believe the leg development is genetic too, as I'm built like my dad with powerful legs. I plan one day of yoga minimum during recovery anyway.

I do appreciate all the insight and discussion. It's genuinely great to see a respectful discussion of differing opinion on a public forum.

It certainly is good to see differnt opinions being respected and considered valid.

I like RunXstrong's post that he is more efficent and experienced now than he was when he was younger. This can be true of many people who ahow impressive skills despite age - the veteran weightlifter and also recently I saw a lady in her 90's who could hold the yoga Peacock Pose (Mayurasana)!!

    Enjoy your Yoga
