Thanks guys, about the ferret.

His name is Iggy. We believe he is about 2 years old. We adopted him in May. He needed a new home because someone in Buffalo NY had to get rid of him right away. She couldn't find anyone local to take him. So we drove from Boston to Buffalo and picked him up. He's the sweetest animal I've ever met. He recently won his first local ferret show and we're hoping to get him licensed as a therapy animal in early 2013 so we can take him to do nursing home visits. He is seriously the most mellow, cuddly, kissy animal I've ever met.

OMG, I am soo sorry. I know that awful feeling. I hope your furbaby makes it home soon. Have you posted an ad in the local paper? We got our cat back that way. ((Hugs)) and prayers for you.

This is Luna.


She's about three months old and we picked her from the street, or more correctly, from the library. We've had her for two months and she's growing at such an amazing rate. Also very playful and a little dangerous to all of my fragile belongings, well, those that are still in one piece. Nevertheless we love her very much.

My very spoiled babies.................Ginger and Roscoe.

Ginger I found in a ditch along side a busy highway. She and her litter mates were thrown from a car and she was the only survivor. To our best guess she is a golden retriever / chow mix. She was 76 pounds at her last vet visit in May.

Rosce is a rescue from a local resuce in the St Louis area. He is a boxer / pit mix and a big love bug lap dog. I don't think he understands that he is 70 pounds and hurts my legs. :laugh: :laugh:

There's a pic of my two babies in my profile pictures - Riley is a five-year-old male tuxedo cat with a long fluffy coat, and Xander is a 16-month-old male tuxedo cat with a short silky coat. Both have been affectionately called "speed-bump" at times. They will plop down on their side in front of you begging for some lovin'. :laugh:

Sara -- Got her first, adopted from the animal shelter after she'd been dropped off there. I'm guessing because she's, quite literally, a scardey-cat. She's seriously afraid of everything, only took her about five years to get keen on me!






Devonian -- Devon followed my boyfriend and I home one night, I looked at him and said, "You wanna come in too?" He looked at the open door, looked at me, and trotted on in. He was two at the time, making him older than Sara by a bit over a year. Everyone loves his pretty blue eyes and zen attitude.






Paleocene -- We adopted Leo after a while (five years between Devon and Leo), figuring we could probably love one more cat. Adopted him from a local shelter here; he was so charming and lovey! Really does want to spend all day in your lap and purrs like an outboard motor if you so much as look at him. Can't meow though...






Siderean -- Lastly the little Sid. He loped up to the house last August and I couldn't find his owner either. I couldn't rightly leave a little guy like him out in the world alone (he was only about 6 mo) and I didn't want to abandon him, so he's been living with us since. I don't think he was reared properly and is still a bit more feral (or at least ANGRY) than I like, but he's adjusting still and seems to be happy. He's SO vocal when he wants to be and has a funny nose (I guess like a Siamese)

That's pretty wild! It almost looks like an overdeveloped doo-claw (sp?), but then there is a pad for it too. She is quite a rare one. She looks like a stray that I took in once. It was pregnant and gave me two of the best orange kitties I have ever met. Sadly, I lost one when he got out and go hit by a car. My sister took the best orange kitten though. I still wish I could get him back. :grumble:
