For me, it is currently information, food logging, time, positive achievement rewards ( like when I hit a certain weight I get new fitness equipment or other things not food related. My onederland goal is to fly a plane and my goal weight is to get laser hair removal. Must have motivation!) My bike and elliptical. My husbands support is a must have as well. Organic food for mood and health, personal responsibility and moderation.

    Food scale
    MFP/food database
    Something to measure my activity
  • TV while walking/running on the treadmill with one of my fav movies playing, makes the time fly by.
Support from family and friends, MFP friends are the best!
Time....have to make time even when there seems to be none at all, yep even 4am if I have to.
Plenty of protein on hand, ff cottage cheese, jerky, greek yogurt, boiled eggs are a must in my house and at work (helps say no to the 3o'clock munchies)

Having go to foods available to me, when I'm to tired to make a decent meal.
    Music (which keeps me motivated)
Information (I'm always reading/educating myself) to improve my lifestyle.
And I would normally dismiss this . . . but loved how one poster said cute workout attire. I have lost enough weight that I'm kind of looking in that direction. Old me, would say that was vain. New me, says I earned it.

Coffee - zero calorie, delicious, suppresses the appetite.

    - Chicken. So amazing for protein, relatively few calories, delicious and versatile. I could write an ode to the humble chicken.
    - Spices - give what could be plain and simple food a lovely kick of flavour.
    - Mizuno Wave Inspire shoes for the gym. Didn't understand what a good pair of shoes could do before!
    - diet coke. There are haters but I'm keeping this particular treat!
    - It's been said but - MFP itself. Logging calories every day has been the most invaluable tool along the way.

    -food scale
-sturdy shoes that won't wear out on you in three months (ugh...haven't had any problems with my Asics I bought in April at least)
    -music that pumps you up
-access to weights...even if you only have the machines available to use rather than free weights, it's still worth working
    -support from family/friends/those on MFP
-my Fitbit, as it lets me see how active I am at work and judge if I need to take a walk that evening
-my Kindle for the days I *have* to do cardio at the gym (no wifi and only two tv stations doesn't go very far)
    -Runkeeper for seeing my distance/pace

You have to want it bad enough to make it happen.

All the best gadgets, exercise equipment, memberships, foods, etc... won't get you to your goal if you can't stick with it when you don't see the success you want when you want to see it.
Those things can definitely help, but it still all comes down to willpower and perseverance.

    My must haves:

MFP helping me create a deficit
Accurate logging with a food scale
    Nikes
    A desire to change

I also like my HRM, treadmill, good music, etc., but I can lose weight/fat without them if they weren't available.
