    I'm reversing this just a bit as an adult can use whatever word(s) s/he chooses. As a listening adult you can choose to hear or not hear them. So just to name a few of my favs

    Also, cursing like a sailor. It does NOT sound tougher, more dramatic, more intelligent, witty, clever, grown up or badaz so I wish people would stop.

    THOUGH I myself do think it's ok to have fun with words, being goofy and happy/silly, etc. So if the person is happy enough, laid back, what have you... Then it's no big deal!

    You don't think badaz should be on the list???

    A lot of this will depend on one's culture - in the UK 'potty' is the word for the small plastic pot that toddlers first use when they are being toilet trained. There is no other word for it. And isn't it the norm to refer to one's father as 'daddy' in Southern USA?

    My own list would include 'nom nom nom' - we are not the Cookie Monster! :laugh:

    I detest "freshie pow pow" as in new snow, fresh powder. Mostly said by the snowboarders. Sorry guys just don't like it.

    Being a Texan I have never heard this and I pray to the FSM that I never do.

    I also am not fond of the voice that goes along with a lot of these expressions...it's kind of a valley girlesque accent but more mumbled...and I live in Iowa.

    I have a woman in my office that greets you with "Howz-it?" I always want to ask "Howz it what?"

    Is the woman Hawaiian? Because to be fair, that's a "local" term out here. It's considered part of Pidgin, which is kind of the local slang/dialect. If she's from Hawaii then her saying Howzit is similar to someone from Mexico saying "Hola"... or someone from the south saying "Hey y'all"... or anyone saying "what's up" when they're not actually talking about the ceiling/sky ;-) Just saying ;-)
