Not sure on the year, but I had a Mitsubishi Expo. It blew out blue smoke, I had to drive it in 1st or 2nd gear to get above 20 miles an hour and it was louder than a motorcycle. Fracking awesome first car. :)

1971 Plymouth Duster. Paid $50 for it, but it looked nothing like the picture....... except for the color.

'67 Chevy 1/2 ton pick-up, Three on the tree transmission. :) I loved that old beast! My dad thought it would attract too much attention from the guys, he tried to talk me into buying a town car or cadillac... Until I pointed out the VERY SPACIOUS backseats!!

A shout out to the VW Rabbit.... My first boyfriend drove that car. He turned out to be a real jerk, but we did have fun in that car. :blushing:

I was stylin' a green Porsche 914 in 1988. I crashed it into a light pole after being hit on the driver's side. WAAAAAAAH!

alot of Porsche snobs consider the 914 to be a VW, so VW sorta was your first car.

i actually liked the 914 was i was 16 years old and tried to get my dad to let me buy one. mostly because it said Porsche on it though. he didn't go for it. i did see one a couple of years later that was fully restored and decked out and it looked kinda cool.

I KNOW!!! Didn't care. Why do you think that I could afford it?

It was a fun car. Popping the targa top off... wrestling it into the trunk... driving around in my "convertible"... dressin' cute... blasting ska music or the Jam aahhh... such fun and so young!

They do look pretty great restored. I have a professional mentor that was in a 914 club. I kept my secret about the light pole for several months before I disclosed what I had done to mine. Thought it was best that that wasn't one of my first impressions.

My first car was an 80something ford escort. I didn't have it very long. The engine blew out and it went up in flames. The fire department showed up and put the flames out. There wasn't much left of it at that point, just a burnt offering to pagan gods.
