I am so confused between the two, don't know where to began or what muscle to focus on to start with? Can some please help? I do not currently go to the gym, however I do have some dumb bells at home to use. I currently go for a bike ride for my cardio exercise but realize the importance of adding weights to my agenda just don't know where to began or what muscle to focus on the most.. What do you prefer circuit or strength training? What does your workout consist of arms, back, legs, ect.??

Get a book (or a trainer if you can) - best to read up and educate yourself so you know what to do to start out. Everyone including me will recommend "The New Rules of Lifting for Women" - very informative and an excellent program to start out on.0

Both if possible...Circuit training is a combo of short periods of some form of cardio and weight training..I would start with a DVD for example Cathie Fredricks step and weight dvd...or Jillian Michaels 30 day shred...or treat yourself to a womens fitness mag like Oxygen or Womens Muscle and fitness..the body needs muscle and as we get older it surely comes in hand because it keeps us looking good and our bones strong. Its definitely a plus for a well rounded level of fitness...0
