FAT Thanksgiving

I'm from Canada, we had ours already. What I did was take the day off of calorie counting and just had everything I wanted. Thanksgiving is a day to be thankful for what you have - some people don't have the luxury to enjoy such a feast, let alone count calories at it. I enjoyed myself gratefully and continued my calorie-conscious eating as usual the next day.0

I plan on working out in the morning, and snacking very very lightly throughout the morning/afternoon. Then, I plan on eating as much as I want when dinner time comes(:
One day won't kill me, I'm sure, and we're finally having Thanksgiving at my house again after many years of renovating our dining/music room! My dad's a chef so his cooking is wonderful, and I talked my parents into getting my favorite chocolate cheesecake platter... bring it on, food ;D0 -
thanksgiving already went by here.. (canada)..
and i had 3 turkey dinners, 3 days in a row.. with dessert.. after those 3 days i had actually lost weight..

Being from England we don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but this year I will be staying with my cousin in Southern Maryland so will be trying this Holiday for the first time. Fortunately my cousin is also on here, but she has told me she is having a day off, but roast turkey, steamed vegetables and the rest take care of itself
I guess we will probably go for a walk/run in the morning to add some more insurance, also it will give me some practice for Christmas after I get home which will start with a workout at the gym in the morning.

I'm lifting hard before. Put those calories to good use!!!0

I'll probably eat a lot of the healthier stuff. Brussel sprouts, broccoli, etc... I can't eat turkey since I'm allergic to it. Weird I know. I don't like stuffing or cranberry sauce, so that takes care of that. I also do not like pumpkin pie. So I really am limited in what I can eat. But I do plan on working out and lifting just in case I decide to go over to my besties place instead.0

I'm gonna load up on turkey and veggies, skip the potatoes bread and butter, and have a slice of pie.0

Just go hiking like we do....problem solved!0

I was going to go jog in the morning and then do some strength training. That should help. But i will still have to be cautious when it comes time for dinner.0

It is getting closer...................... i think i can not over eat, i think i can not over eat, i think i can not over eat.....................0

I'm gonna pick two or three things that I really love (ex. pumpkin pie and my mother in law's sugar cookies) to indulge a few times over the holiday season and not feel guilty about. That way I won't feel deprived whenever I pass other stuff up (like five cheese macaroni and beer).0

The yams will be my downfall.0

I plan on skipping the bread and mashed potatoes, and limiting myself to one glass of wine. If I'm going to use my calories, I'd rather use them on something that you don't get everyday, like turkey and stuffing and cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie! Hm, maybe I should skip the wine, too. I think I'd rather have extra stuffing than wine. It was so hard for me to lose one pound (although I did lose inches), and I don't want to gain my one pound back!0

I don't have my logs open normally because i am on nightshift and my entries are generaly very confusing to normal people.
Rockerbabyy...........You have inspired me. I completly give up. I am eating the whole cheescake. And the whole tukey, and i just love Yams. Ohhhh nevermind........................i will be good. lol : )
I work third shift too. I have my log set in four hour intervals. 0000-0400, 0401-0800, 0801-1200, 1201-1600, 1601-2000, 2000-2359.0 -
As for eating, I plan to maintain this week. Yesterday was my daughter's birthday and Thanksgiving i this week. Tomorrow night is a potluck for work. Maintenance is ok with me.0

Well, I am in charge of making the Turkey and pies and I will honestly tell you, it's not looking too good health wise. I am making two of each: pumpkin, coconut, pecan, and old fashion buttermilk! Oh, the temptations! Family is driving in from a couple of hundred miles away so I am not going to dissapoint!0
