That is an ASD/aspie kid's dream room right there.

That was exactly the thought that ran through my head when I saw those pictures! Got one of those at home myself :-)

I loved my legos as a kid but never bought more than a few dollars worth for my poor deprived children.
  • It's all fun and games until you step on one in the dark...barefoot. OUCH!!

just wait until you trip and get one lodged into your elbow joint! and look up human blood in the food journal and find out there are 6,000 calories worth of blood in the human body... (yes it's actually in the database)
  • my families looks pretty similar......my dad has a huge "37 gal" rubbermaid container full right to the top from when he was a kid, and both of my little brothers have nearly as much.. I can't count how many times I've literally had bruised feet :( dangerous

My legos kit was pretty big, but then again I didn't have the mini legos when when I was little I had lots and lots of those big giant lego pieces and I used to build myself a little cave thing to sit in.

I think my boys could give you a run for your money. They are 15 and 13 and still spend A LOT of money on lego. I keep telling them they should buy stock in the company instead.

Actually... we got ya beat, mostly because I still have mine from when I was younger, which has the kids' legos being rolled into it.

hmmm . I dunno. . that pile is only about half of 'his' collection. . :)

It's getting to where I can't even sort them anymore. .I . .I mean "HE" has to get over this lego obsession of his. .
I have... er... I mean, my kid has an obsession with thomas the tank engine trackmaster sets.
Well, my kid did, he is now 23, but we still have theLego's, and the Thomas the Tank Engine's, and the K'nex. He does not play with the Thomas the Tank Engine any more. He did recently play with Lego's with my 13 yo nephew, who is also obsessed with Lego's.

??? = Buy kits. . Take out the Minifigs and sell them for $15 each. . Then Sell the kit for Half-Price. . = Profit.

I'm pretty sure this is how it works.. Never done it myself. .because no way I'm selling my legos!.

Haha, you're probably right...my son has quite a lot, but nowhere near that! One of his friends is probably running pretty close to your son. They have bunches of containers and drawers like you do. He already had a lot and over the summer they got a HUGE box at a yard sale for $7!!

But my kid knows that the plural of 'lego' is 'lego'.

(Well actually, I don't have a kid, but if I did he would know that.)

I still have all my sons lego, kept the charts in a folder. Hopefully he will have kids to pass it on to. I also bought my son an anniversary action man the year he was born, my daughter an anniversary Barbie the year she was born. They both used to bug the hell out of me as to why I wouldn't let them take the toys out the boxes.

Oh. Heh. If I was still at home I'd just walk up stairs and photograph my little brother's floor. It's a foot deep in them. He has his bed right next to the door for a reason. And he still wants more.... Craaaaaazy!
